View Full Version : Jericho and Goldberg

They blew it bad with Jericho and Goldberg on Jericho's highlight of the night show. . They had a great real life feud fall in their laps and they blew it. Jericho could have went off on Goldberg on how Goldberg disrespected him. How Goldberg thought Jericho was not good enough to face him. How Jericho challenged him in WCW and Goldberg pussied out and never answered Jericho's challenges? Than Jericho could have said how he is the first unified world champ. He did something all the greats never did like Hogan or Flair and even Goldberg. He beat Rock and Austin in one night. He could have said I am better than you and your force fed streak on jobbers in WCW. They could have used video from WCW showing Jericho's challenges. jericho could have even brought back Ralphus. I was so happy when Jericho called out Goldberg and so dissapointed as soon as the Raw scrubs came out.

This feud has lots of money written all over it ad instead the WWE uses 3 minute Warning.

Exactly how I saw it, Teenweek.

This was real legit heat for a potential main event caliber match and now it looks like it will turn out to be "The Born Again" Christian vs. Goldberg at Judgment Day.

Hey I'm not knocking Christian. I love Christian's gimmick and everything but he is sadly, not ready. Or may I rephrase that by saying the WWE booking and Trips don't think he is ready for the big time like the other "Next Big Things" currently on the roster.

AnyWHO, this should have been in the last half hour of WWE RAW instead of the very beginning of the program! This had the potential to be a dynamite match, might I say Wrestlemania XX caliber but they ended it in an instant.

Teenweek, you had alot of ideas that I thought that would have increased the heat another notch but we had to have the 2003 JOB Squad (3 Minute Warning, Rico, Richards and Victoria) interject themselves into the segment.

Did you notice that when "The Hightlight of the Night" asked Goldberg why he did not face him in WCW, he totally changed the subject? I wanted to see Y2J blindsided him like The Rock did and even more vicious chairshots!

[Hmmm... I wonder if Christian was the cat that wrote anonymous about getting screwed out of Wrestlemania with his outburst.]

Another great job WWE... yeah real great! The WWE soooo needs an EL-KABONG right now!

That is why I prefer TNA so much better nowadays.

the first 5 minutes of that segement were great. i got excited for the first time in a long time. I was explaining all the history of the two to my wife..who could care less...as if it was a big time story. Then Christians music came on...not that i don't like him, but soon came all the scrub wrestlers. nothing ruins a segment like 3 Minute Warning.

i think they will go back to this again though...maybe not now, but at sometime. Jericho was great for the whole segment. i love his sarcastic laugh. and he just disappeared from the segment, so i think it will come back again.

I agree this is a great angle they could use.

I think that they are afraid to go with a Jericho-Greenberg feud. With all of the hatred that these guys have for each other, who knows what would happen in a match between the two. The way Greenberg works, he might get pissed off and treat Jericho like a car window. I do think and hope that it will happen eventually. But that was still such an awesome segment. Greenberg looked legitimately pissed off and caught offguard with Jerichos and Christians questions.

That's the one thing that worries me about this asshole. I was really getting into Raw for the first few minutes of that bit...thinking, Oh My God they're actually using a real situation & making a good angle around it. But then they dropped the ball by getting a gang of people no one wants to see involved in it.

But with Goldberg's past, I don't want him rishing any of my favorite wrestlers into an early retirement because he's just a dick.

I would, however, like to see Goldberg work Bob Holly's first match back in the WWE...but that's a story for another thread.

Let's not all forget. He put Bret Hart into early retirement. Clumsy fuck.

I meant "rushing"...but I have to admit I got a chuckle out of being questioned by you, Foniksman.

Beside, I wasn't talking about anything to do with Bret's body, I'm talking about the brain damage he received when an over-zealous & under-polished Goldberg superkicked his head nearly off his shoulders & forced him to retire.
