Ruben & Clay were as perfect as ever. I'd say Kimberly was hit with the 2nd song and a miss with the 1st. Josh blew twice. And Trenyce was amazing (and amazingly hot).

If America does the right thing tonight, Josh get an honorable discharge.

i just started watching this. I think Reuben is definitely going to win. He is just incredible.

Trenyce was also great last night, as was Kimberly.

I agree Josh is going to get the boot. He has a good voice, just really no personality.

And my God, I just really don't get Clay. There's something about him i just dont like. I agree with Simon when he says he'd be perfect for Broadway.

<font color=purple>I know others who feel the exact same way. But I'm not among them. I think Clay is a natural, and is incredibly versatile. Yeah, the facial theatrics take a little getting used to. I think it stems from a lack of cool, but that's nothing that getting laid a few dozen times won't fix.

Conversely, that's what makes Ruben so strong. Talent + an "it's all good" attitude is always a tough act to follow.

The bottom 3 will be Josh, Kimberly and Trenyce. Although she has been there a few times before, it's hard to imagine Trenyce not making the cut this week (but that could just be my dick talking).

Let's get real, the only reason Josh has made it this far is because he's been riding the wave of patriotism. That'll still get him more votes than he deserves tonight, but probably not enough to keep him around.

Holy Shit Gary I was about to start this thread when I signed back on but you beat me to it...and my name is in the title :)

Ruben was great as usual. And I love that he can get such a serious look on his face like he's really waiting in anticipation to see how he did. He comes off very humble and happy and I like that about him.

Kimberly and Clay will give him a run but in the end I don't think there's a contest. Neil Sadaka was up Clay's butt last night though, at least that's probably what he was dreaming about.

Here is my new sig, I doubt I'll use it but I'm such a loser that I made one for no real reason. I'm glad I'm not alone on this guys!

Secondly, she just released a CD and has a movie coming out that will both probably do well. 21 million people called in to vote last week. That's at least a gold record right there.

<font color=purple>Enjoying the spoils that come with having the number one album in America. And as Aggie said, she's got a movie coming out that's gonna do 50 mil without even breaking a sweat.

Last year I wasn't into it at all, either... until the last 2 or 3 weeks, that is. But once you give it a chance, it's easy to get hooked. Now, it's one of my top 5 shows and a must see/tape. Talent + competition, what could be better?

the so called "winner" will never be heard from again. Trust me, in 3 years from now not a soul on this earth will remember who Kelly Clarkson is.

A moot point. 3 years ago, you couldn't turn on the radio or MTV without catching something by Limp Bizkit, Creed or the Backstreet Boys.... hardly the case today. The average shelf life of about 75% of successful musical act is limited to a couple of years. For every Madonna & Sprinsteen, there's 20 Samantha Foxes & Geraldos.

Obviously I think it should be Josh, but these dumb people aren't voting based on talent as of late. But I think I'm going to go with Josh and hope the rest of the voters agree. Kimberly has talent enough to stay around and at least make it interesting. 3 guys would suck.

Simon's face last week was classic. He was so shocked about Ruben being in the bottom 3. I think people are keeping Josh around just to spite him (plus he's a marine. bleh. that doesn't give him talent)

I would really like to see Ruben win, because he just has raw talent and I believe people will buy his cd's. Hell, my BF even likes him.

But when it comes down to it, like I said before, they will both be getting contracts. I mean Justin (who came in second) from last year just made a CD with Baby Face and Ruben is 10x better than him.

And yes, Clay is popular with the market they are targeting, so he could come out on top at the end of the show, but we'll see both of them around for awhile.

See, I totally love Ruben as well. For a while I couldn't decide between the two, but the only thing I can find that makes one more "worthy" of winning than the other is simply originality of voice. I know nothing about the music business, but I can't help thinking that Ruben has the kind of voice we've all heard before, nothing mindblowing. There's just something about that incredibly soothing, always perfect voice coming out of a little dork that makes Clay a step above. It's also because you can tell he started out with virtually no confidence whatsoever and they completely turned him around. It makes him so much more likeable. He reminds me of a terrible 80's movie and I love him.

I'm assuming America will vote out Kimberly, but you never know. As much as I want Ruben, I think Clay might beat him out (they never tell us who has the most # of votes each week so it's hard to tell). As long as Ruben doesn't go before Kim I guess I could handle him losing, but he shouldn't.

On a side note, Randy Jackson was on Daily Show last night. Stewart was really tooling on him but it was a pretty good interview. He thinks Ruben should win too he called him "Luther Vandross" and Clay "Barry Manilow" ha, I agree.

I don't want him too but the crowd LOVES him and he's really well spoken. Ruben is too but he's more laid back and quiet.
