I'm a sucker for these shows and the drama queens that are on them. I actually like the second season of SL, it's a lot more realistic in showing the pledging process, at least, that's pretty much what I experienced pledging up in Oneonta. I'm so glad that girl Karissa left. I was hoping she wouldve gotten an ass kicking from the one sister she badmouthed. what a cunt. Last season they either didn't really show the pledging, or it was just that easy to get into that sorority.

Jenn, I can't give ya much input this season, sorry :( I'm a bad tookie twin. I did see about 2 episodes though and it kind of got me interested again. I saw the one with the tampon raids and the dumb feud with the frat. I guess I just never know when it's on. I hate MTV and don't ever put it on unless I have something specific to watch.

But I wonder what happened to last year's girls. And I'll never forget how me, you and Chris bonded over this show. Good times.

And we'll see if Game replies, I'm sure he can relate to all the winners on Fraternity Life :)

Whatever, those shows are bullshit. Those kids are fuckin coasting through "pledging". I don't even wanna call it that because both shows (FL and SL) are giving those kids free rides into their respective houses. Give me more episodes of the Real World damnit!

I didn't know this show existed. The closest I saw to a real fraternity and sorority being on TV was "Gordon Elliot's Door Knock Dinners," which featured various food prepared by fraternity and sorority chefs and was filmed at Rutgers. Interestingly, my fraternity was the one featured (I didn't attend Rutgers but they filmed it at my fraternity's chapter house.)

Anyway....

I don't know if East Side Dave is referring to me as the man he was waiting to post...but...

I am The President of my Fraternity's Board of Directors. I continue to find fraternity life portrayed negatively in the media. The fraternity experience was the best part of my college life. It's not for everyone, but it is a family, a college affiliation that promotes self expression within a group dynamic, and a lifelong commitment. These shows apparently want to promote the stereotypes of The Greek System, ala Van Wilder and Animal House. Sure I did crazy shit. Crazy. And I'm not telling some show about it either.
