Okay, so tomorrow I have an interview for a supervisor position at another company. I'm stuck on the one question I hate, which is "why do you want to leave your current job/position/company?" what is a good response to give to this question?

Just tell them why, you want the job, is it a better position, better paycheck, more bonuses, just be honest and straight forward, they can tell if your lieing. And if you do lie they might reconsider the move, but then again dont be too free about it like its nothing, just be honest and be yourself.

"why do you want to leave your current job/position/company?"
Well, why ARE you leaving your current position?
Is it a lack of challenges? You feel creatively stunted? You feel there's no room to grow?
Try to think along those lines and interviewers will eat that up.

Here's the straight dope. My company was recently taken oven by another, so there's a strong chance that most people where I work will be in jeopardy. So I have that, plus my boss is a jerk.

I suggest you tell them something along the lines of "You enjoy working at your current job, but you're looking for something more challenging and with more opportunity for advancement."

It also doesn't hurt to compliment the company. Say something like you have heard good things about the company. Flattery will get you everywhere.
I am, and always will be,in a state of sulky dissatisfaction.

I agree with Horde King, you are looking for a job that is more challenging, the work at your current employer has grown stagnant and you are looking to work with a new team, at a company that has better options then the one you are currently working at.
