Wash Move hints from callers on tues "best of"

anyone notice on Tuesday's best of (Part 5 for the secret society) was from January sometime...they were talking about the cold weather in NY and fezzie was saying how he doesn't get cold and they were joking around taking callers..

anyway there were two prank callers shortly after that...one said "fezzie you don't have to worry about the cold because 2/1/03 you're going south" and they cut him off..

another prank caller said "there was one in Washington DC..." and he got cut off too.

i guess we should have heard the signs they were moving. I also remember ronnie telling Tenacious C "you're not going to be able to smoke in the stairwell for much longer" too around the time they left. Did anyone know they were leaving or was everyone else surprised and saddened instantly...like me?

You had to know. It was no secret that WNEW was in the shitter, and then all of a sudden WJFK picked them up live.

It was obvious that the move was inevitable.

For one reason or another I missed that show and heard it on the best of. When I heard those two callers I felt bad for everyone in the show. I could feel the awkward silence, and I bet Ron and Fez were really hurt.

It's radio, you can't expect a show to stay in the same place forever.

Yes, I heard it, and even durring the orriginal broadcast I heard it, but we all knew the show was doing badly in the ratings. Viacom / Infinity / WNEW would not promote the show.

Also, for the longest time "RADIO CLUES" were being dropped about a change of format.

As to the question stated: if you are asking if Ron and Fez knew they were out, my guess would be YES.

But if you are asking did Ron and Fez know that the show would be cancelled out from under them, no calls or advance notice, then the answer is NO.

For being the #1 market, New York radio sucks. Aside from R & F and O & A, there is nothing worth listening to.
