[RF Godfather]

Before the main event last night, Don West and Mike Tenay announced there will be a Gauntlet-esque match next week and the winner will be the #1 contender for the NWA World Title.

Tenay said that those involved would be former champions from WWE, WCW, ECW, Mexico, Europe and Japan.

Who do you think will be involved and who is going to win?

Rick Stiener???? Buff Bagwell??? You've got to be kidding me?? And why the hell would they have Glen "Disqo/Disco Inferno" Gilberti win the whole damn thing? C'mon Joey...Even you have to agree that this was a very bad move. I had on very good authority that in the very least Yuji Nagata and Masato Tanaka (he owns Mike Awesome) would have made an appearance.

I actually enjoyed Rick Steiner's return to TNA because he got the crowd into the match for the tenure he was involved. While Buff Bagwell was probably just filler because they couldn't get what they wanted in the match and hopefully was just a one time deal.

Concerning "The Gifted One" Glen Gilberti, I have to strongly disagree. I think he has earned a shot at Jarrett because he got away from that horrible disco gimmick nonsense and has become the unsung hero/leader of the diluted S.E.X. faction. He has shown he can work a mic and goes out there and just wrestles without prancing like a moron. He would probably be a great fit in the FBI if you think about it but I digress.

Raven officially doesn't have a contract (it was mentioned by Tenay and West so it was probably a real situation that looks like a work) so it would be only fitting to have him get revenge on Sabu by eliminating him. Wasn't Sabu eliminated earlier but they had to think quick on their feet so they came up with an excuse that you can only get eliminated over the top rope on an offensive move. Umm... ok.

Next week, Gilberti deserves a shot at Jarrett which he will probably get jobbed to anyway but Raven has to finish off some business first. Probably in a "Unsanctioned" match against Sabu. First retribution then fulfill your destiny!

Did any of you notice the "Ace in the Hole" Sonny Siaki looking more and more like the Rock last night sporting the black tights instead of the jogging pants? I have been saying this for a long time about TNA, he is the best they have to offer and he already possesses something the Rock didn't have in his earlier years: in-ring talent. He can flat out wrestle and pull off great promos if given mic time.

I have to respecfully disagree. I'm with Joey on this one - Gilberti has developed himself into a pretty decent worker, and has come a long way since the Disco gimmick. And he's great on the mike. So, he deserves this title shot just as much as anyone.

BTW, I would have marked HARD if Yuji had showed up.
