Hey guys now that I am 17, i can get into a rated r movie, and I just need to know will I have to show id, and if so what kind?

I doubt it, but maybe the times have changed, I always was able to get into R rated movies from 15 on. Then again I used to get drinks at bars underage as well without being I.D'd yet now they check it. strange.

Just bring a school, state id or anything that is official and has your birthdate. They might check, but most places dont, i mean i am 17 and have a baby face, and havent been carded since 7 grade. The weird thing is that they let me into the movie. I think i was 12 ans maybe 4'5

a state, or licence ID will only work if they are checking them correctly. you wouldn't have had a chance if you were at my theater when i worked there. i'd card college kids and catch them with no ID, and send them home.
