Hey guys, I need you loyal WNEW listeners to help me out with something....
I'm a Washington D.C. listener....in some ways I feel that makes me a bit of a hardcore Ron and Fez fan because I'm have to listen to R & F on WJFK at the ridiculously shitty time slot of Midnight to 4 a.m. (why such a bad slot? Easy. Don Geronimo's the program director.) I'm pissed off about the move of R & F to nights, even though technically the move doesn't effect me the same way it does effect the WNEW listeners.
But I was listening to the Don and Mike show today, because I knew that they would be explaining their move to middays (and thank God that they are. Finally we D.C. listeners will get an actually funny radio program in O & A), and I caught a line from Don about their move in WNEW. Don said, basically, "The ratings (on WNEW) of the time slot we are moving to (meaning midday) are worse than the ratings of the time slot that we are on now." Now, since I don't live in New York and am not familiar with the ratings of WNEW, is this correct? It seems to me that the ratings for Don and Mike are beyond horrible, while I would imagine that R & F's ratings are, at the least, decent (considering the sizeable fan base they've created). I know that they HAVE to have higher ratings than Don and Mike (because let's be honest, the only reason that Don and Mike are getting the midday slot is because they have a bastardized form of seniority in the company, and thus have the ability to whine until they get the slot). Can anyone help me out here? Who has the better ratings: Ron and Fez or Don and Mike? I have to believe it's Ron and Fez.
I feel bad for the New York R & F listeners, but I think you'll get your revenge, ultimately. New York seems to hate D&M, and rightfully so, so here's hoping that their ratings hit all time lows.
Today's sin is WRATH.
