Great debate George Stephanopoulos did a awesome job did address tough questions. Ask the forum if they would raise taxes only two had the guts to say yes Al Sharpton and Dennis Kucinich. Howard Dean was a joke back pedaling on statemnts he made the past weeks. The strongest canidates in my opinion were Joseph Lieberman and John Edwards, focussing on Homeland Sucurity. Basically trying to bash Bush with economy but nobody questioned that the affects of 9/11 on our economy( Stock exchange losing over 3,000 points)in the matter of few months would of happen to any President in office at the time.

I have a liberal friend who not only swears that Dean will win the nomination, but is the best - perhaps only - hope the Democrats have to beat Bush. I don't see it.

Even though I'm a moderate (honest) conservative, Leiberman would be my choice. At least you know he won't sell out Israel. At least, I don't THINK he will.

I swear to God, if this ends up being a major issue...what, are they forgetting which country they're actually running to be president of?

And what kind of retarded world lets Sharpton participate in a major debate, but not Nader? Way to shoot yourself in both feet AND kneecaps, Dems...

Mojo,

Do you even know anything about Nader? Chances are you don't. Simply because he's not represent one of the 2 major parties doesn't make his opinions, beliefs or political views any less then his opposition.

You can try and see the Dems or the Reps as two separate parties...but via policies and actions...they are merely, slightly different versions of the same realm. People rarely vote for someone they like anymore...they vote for the lessor of two evils.

Nader and the Green party are an alternative which can possibly represent a change in the future. But change is bad right? Just be complacent and lazy like a good American.

I saw some of this before I became ill at 5:30 AM this morning. WHAT?!?!

I don't give a shit what these people have to say honestly, but if they buried the Republican debate at 5:30 AM Sunday morning, I'd be pissed.

Was this just a re-run? Did it air at a more normal hour? I hope so for the sake of Democrats looking for a viable canidate.

Hmmmm.... Ralph Nader never heard of him. Help create OSHA( I'm OSHA certified) ,EPA. If he was elected he claimed he shift the power of business to the employers. Cut military spending , remove the U.S. from NAFTA and WTO. Would reconstruct social, political and economic institution in America. Sounds Democratic to me and oh yeah Dean might ask him to be his VP, heard that on Meet The Press.

Just because The Green Party is different, doesn't make them better. Let's stop with the assuming that anything different than the Reps and Dems would be a better choice.

Well that remains to be seen...but atleast you can honestly say that the Green Party has an agenda and policies in the citizens interest. Not like the Dem's and Rep's who just find this ok around election time.

Why do you assume that removal from such policies would be un-democratic? Obviously if such changes were to take place..it would have to be ok'ed by Congress...so what's un-democratic? If you don't like him for his beliefs...so be it...but that doesn't make him or his beliefs un-democratic.

Of course it will be a major issue.

Depending upon how much of the proposed Israeli / Palestinian "roadmap" is accomplished before the election rolls around.

BTW, not to nitpick, but why WOULD Nader be invited? The man's not part of the Democrat party. I thought the debate was just for the donkeys.

One problem I always have with the Democrats: Why pick a party symbol so open to ridicule?

Actually this dates back to one of the Clinton elections, when Nader was actually considering running on the Democratic ticket...no dice.
