Suddenly the administration doesn't want to talk much about Iraqi WMDs. It's all about liberation and such.
Still, though I like to criticize Dumbya & Co., I feel we've just gotta be patient.

Well, yes we have to wait to find out the truth and get facts. But at the same time...how are they going to claim many of the same explinations that they knocked the UN for? Can you say double talk and double standard?

It's not double talk.

The biggest criticism leveled against the U.N. was NOT that it couldn't find the WMD, but rather they were either unwilling or unable to enforce its own resolutions.

But I look forward to this thread turning into a 3 or 4 page affair where the usual suspects "prove" otherwise.

I wrote to simply show how in this case Rumsfield is using many of the same excuses people blamed the UN for. And yes people did complain about the UN not being able to successfully disarm Iraq and Saddam.

The US officials, citizens and general observers (some from this board) are quick to poke at the UN, but when the US has similar problems under which is an easier environment to find such WMD...and there's no luck as of yet...they use BS and double talk to justify themselves. Rumsfield's comments are just an example of this. But so much for the US doing it alone...right?
