I was just listening to Don and Mike, (dont ask me why) but they were cracking on R&F. You know the begining of R&F when it has the music then goes ron.....fez....ron and fez Hey!

Well don aand mike were playing it but it had don and mikes names instead of R&F, and they were making fun of Rons name.........

Don and mike suck!!!

I just heard the same damn thing. I wanted to listen to Don and Mike to verify just how much they suck and the first thing I hear is them ripping on Ron and Fez. My god, this just keeps getting worse.

Don and Mike = Ass Clowns

Ron and Fez uber alles mit senf!

Yeah, but this time it was definitely different. I think Don and Mike are OK, but one thing that doesn't work for them is the ego.

And you just know D&M think they are better than our lads. They are in for a rude awakening.

I can just hear them now: "The reason Ron & Fez are #1 in evenings and we are still number 20 is because they have the lead-in!!!"

Douche bags. Why do we need to listen in middays when we can hear Howard fart into the microphone and talk to Wood Yi from 6-11?????

My favorite call of the day: "Don and Mike are going to kill me in the afternoon"

Ron: "You mean kill me WITH LAUGHTER"

"Nothing can kill The Grimace"

Evil Al, what was the exact insult? I stopped listening to their show after the first hour.

I know that, in the past, they would play the Ron and Fez theme whenever they did an internet story. They changed the names so that it would say Don and Mike. It was a play on the old "RonandFez.com". Whenever Don and Mike would talk about the internet, they would play the edited bumper of Ron and Fez's theme with their names inserted.

Was that what it was? Or were they actually cracking on R&F? If they were, that proves what a mental midget Don Geronimo is. Go ahead and insult the show that you're replacing, so as to alienate all of their listeners (more so than they already are).

Today's sin is WRATH.

I refuse to listen to Don and Mike, I hate to admit it but I'm going to have to go back to listening to the pompous corporate mouthpiece Limbaugh.

The problem that I have with
D&M is that they are hit and
miss, and reliably in a
certain zone of humor. You
either catch them being
amusing (at best) or generally
derivative. What they are is
the worst thing that can be
said about comedy in any form;
they inspire no visceral
response. After listening to
them promote a future bit, I
feel no compunction to
follow-up. The same can be
said for the Chick. Thats my
opinion anyway.

Don and Mike are friends of the show, so don't be surprised if they pop up on R&F when they're here in NY.

Mike does a great Ron impression, and they even have a "Don and Mike.com" theme for whenever they talk about the internet.

I've always wanted to know if R&F have always had other shows enamored with them, or if this is new to NEW...

For the record, you misheard Don and Mike, they weren't saying that R&F had worse ratings than their 7-11 rebroadcast, but had worse ratings than the midday spot on JFK. This is not an insult...Ron and Fez haven't even had a YEAR in middays, you can't expect them to have stellar ratings, and they're starting from square one when they move to nights again.

Think there's a possibility of M.O.D.A shows?

Bob,
I hope not and I would be very disappointed in O&A.

Pootertoot, am I understanding you correctly? Don and Mike were comparing the ratings of Ron and Fez with the (now former) midday show on WJFK here in Washington? That slot was for the G. Gordon Liddy program, and even though the show wasn't number one rated, OF COURSE it pulled high numbers in D.C. because Liddy talks politics and he's been on the show for years. Ron and Fez didn't even have a year under their belt in middays.

I'm going to be stubborn and pigheaded and still say that Don Geronimo doesn't know what he's talking about, and he's a damn fool if he thinks that a live broadcast will do anything to improve his show's ratings. If he pulls the same numbers as the Chick, I'd be VERY suprised.

And Heroin Bob---you'll never see a M.O.D.A. show. O & A might be up for it, but Don never would. Don is incredibly insecure (even towards Mike, whom many consider to be much more talented than Don), and would never let anyone with a greater talent than him participate on his show for any real length of time (even when O&A would guest on their show, the segments only lasted , at most, maybe 5 minutes). My guess is that he won't even use the Instant Feedback, now that it's available to him, for fear that the listeners come up with a better joke / idea than he does.

Today's sin is GLUTTONY.

Suppose they beat Rush in the ratings for that time slot...
How would you guys feel about that??

Im not saying they do better than R n'F and O n'a...i just think it would be cool to beat that (former) fat ass.

I really don't think they have a problem with each other. I can remember D&M having Fez on the show a while back, and I've heard them say good things about R&F. Not to say I love D&M, but I really don't think there's any bad blood between the two shows.

The time slot change works for me, but it is definitely a dis for R&F. I am shocked that Jeremy doesn't realize that R&F are so much better than D&M. D&M are so forced, with Mike's phony laughing at Don. They think going live is going to catapult them, but what they're really going to find is most intelligent New Yorkers really think they suck!

I am stupified. I just cannot
for the life of me understand
how these 2 guys have a hit
radio show. They suuuuuuuck.
I decided to listen and
really give them a chance, but
they are totally un-listenable
to. Did anyone hear that
story that one of them just
told about his teenage son
becoming a "New Yorker"? by
buying himself a silk rayon
puma jogging suit, a leather
fedora and gold chains? If
that is true, his son must be
the dorkiest person on the
face of this earth!

Really R&F, O&A, and Love Lines (if they don't replay the same episode 3 nights and a row) are the only things listenable on WNEW. I agree with u, there is not a lick of talent on that show, the all sound really uncomfortable. By the way, love ur pic doll, but ur a little too short 4 me...lol

Speaking from the desk in my million dollar loft:

Don and Mike is a bad Howard Stern show. Ron and Fez bring something new to the table.

We must,
We must,
We must improve our busts!

We may,
We may,
We may get BIG someday!

Love Lines is listenable?
Maybe when I was 14 I thought
those shows were funny, but at
22...not so much.
Seriously
though, I can't tell
if it's the same show every
night, cause it all sounds the
same to me new or old. Here's
love lines in a nut shell:
-15 year old girl calls
in...wonders why she can't
stay faithful to her boyfriend
who she is in love
with.
-Hosts ask if she was
abused or abandoned as a young
child
-Caller, after 5
minutes of dodging the
question, says, yes, she
was
-Hosts tell her to talk
to seek help fron a
professional
therapist
-Lather...rinse...repeat.

Boy Howdy that was insightful!

Rob's pretty funny.
He seems to have the most off-the-wall sense of humor.
Then again, maybe it's just relative...
