Signature pictures should be no larger than 300 x 100 pixels and 30 kb. If your signature is too large you will be asked by a moderator to shrink it, if you fail to do so, your status may be changed, or worse...

I modified my sig line anyway, keeping the most important part. It is now two characters long, I think.

I will be clearly defining the rules for everyone in the short future. I am waiting to see if a new version of this board software is available with polls, then I will modify accordingly as I did to the original version.

It's all part of a grand revision I have planned for the board.

It'd be nice if the FAQ was updated once all the rules become finalized. Relatively new people like the Chairman aren't going to search the board for old threads concerning sigpic rules and the like (although Jon mentioned that he hasn't topped it in a while). Also, maybe the rules should have a clearly defined section instead of being put in the FAQ. Additional moderators of a level-headed nature might be nice, as a couple of the present ones seem to have a much lower board presence nowadays.

Alright Moe, if that's the way it's gonna be. If you of all people wanna take my stupid little posts seriously, I guess other people are too, and I should start posting serious thoughts. And that is the heart of the problem.

This is an internet message board, started as a place for fans of the Ron and Fez show to interact with each other. If this is the place you (not Moe specifically, the general 'you') come for meaningful discussion, so much so that you either get offended or upset or start real life conflict with other people when they react negatively to what you have written whether it be anger, sarcasm, insults or horror of horrors a banning (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!), you need to take a step back. If you're unable to find the level of discourse you're looking for in real life, you need to re-evaluate your social circle.

In the beginning, I tried to weigh in on meaningful discussions, but then I realised it's not worth it. It's not real. Nothing anyone writes here means anything. Would you like to know why? Because on the same page as someone's rant about geopolitical structure you also have a thread detailing someone's dick being so short they can't get it out of their pants and piss on themselves constantly. That pretty much destroys the credibility of everyone who attends this website.

Now as far as rules go, I can't believe they're even necessary. I understand that there needs to be rules dealing with sig pics and everything. Those are necessary to maintain the format of the site and to make sure that it runs smoothly. Fine. But rules governing posting conduct? Why would anyone need to be told not to offend anyone else? The fact that anyone would get offended at anything that is written here is beyond me. That means you are taking this whole posting situation waaaaaay too seriously (see above for what that means).

Now on to what you've all been waiting for, the dreaded 2%. I joined and agreed to put it in my sig, because I heard it was a serious, para-military, underground resistance group bent on the overthrow of the entire worldwide Modocracy and freedom for all posters everywhere. C'mon people. Why would I care, and while I'm at it, why should you care enough about what's posted and who's banned? It's just plain silly. Even this that I'm writing now is silly. I'm only doing it because somehow, because I put 2% in my sig I guess, I'm now a perceived threat. What the fuck does that even mean?!? It's there, like everything else or at least like everything else should be, as a joke. MENSA only accepts the top two percent of people based on IQ scores. Get it? I'm labeling myself a genius. And anyone who knows me can certainly attest to my incredible, blinding intellect.

In summation, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, (I started out trying to be serious, but I couldn't maintain. I'm sorry.) everyone please just stop it. I understand that real life relationships and friendships have been formed through the board. I know that as well as anyone. So as far as that goes, it infringes on our real lives. But those things didn't happen here. They happened in the flesh. Anything that appears within all these 0's and 1's is all just meaningless in the end. To ensure the continued fun and hijinks herein, please try and remember that.

Nobody is above the rules. Jeffs been banned and so has Horde King. Jeffs banning was voted on, whereas Horde King took it upon himself to ban himself before we can put it to vote. My girlfriend has been warned and so has Jennitalia.

There is saying something to be funny then there are saying something to be racist, mean and/or attacking. We are not children here. The MODs know when someone is trying to be funny or someone is attacking. That's when it is put to a vote for ALL the MODs to decide what kind of punishment should be implied. One MOD will not and cannot ban and/or warn a member without every other MOD knowing about it AND voting on it.

In the over 2 year history of this board, it seems like, no matter what the moderators do, there is a certain small percentage of the board that complains for no other apparant reason that they want to complain about something.

I think it's a testament to the moderating of this board that: 1) it's still around and 2) this percentage has always been small.

In this latest case, I would put the percentage of posters that complain for the sake of complaining at 2%.

Here's a tip: get over it.

You claim that there is moderator bias...that the rules are unfairly enforced...that certain moderators are overbearing.

Well, let me break it down: while I am not the most prolific poster on the board, I do take an active role in how the board is run. I have exactly 1 personal relationship with any member of the board, I only talk to any members at events or in board matters, and, frankly, I could care less about any of the high school politics that seem to go on. Yes, I enjoy the company of many members of the board but I have no earthly reason to offer them preferential treatment over any other members.

So, yes, I am the unbiased arbiter...the ombudsman, if you will. I personally make sure anything [b]official[] that comes out of the moderating staff is fair and unbiased.

Is this board run perfectly fairly? No. Is it run as fairly as humanly possible? Yes.

So, stop the complaining. If you have a better system for running a message board dedicated to a radio show, by all means: start your own. God knows many others have tried and none have had the longevity of ronfez.net.

I know that by posting this, I am completely contradicting myself but I feel the need to try one more time to get my point across. I made a mistake, I admit it. By posting that ridiculously rambling, long-winded, circus of a post I put up yesterday, I may have given the impression that I was somehow involved or trying to get involved in any of this nonsense. I'm not. I don't care about any of it. I don't even really know what it's about. That post was a response to Moe seeming to take my little jokey pics seriously. Yes I do indeed have a little 2% thingy in my sig, two of them actually, as do others. I know not why any of them have it in their's, I know not why some people are upset about it or even if anyone is. It does however seem to be an issue. I have it for my reasons, that have nothing to do with the way the board is run or the sky being green or why a Russian has to pay 200 rubles for a bottle of vodka. If it said "I have a 15" cock and 200 bajillion dollars in gold boullion hidden in my closet" would that be taken as seriously? If so, please let me know, maybe it'll help me get laid. God, I can't believe I wrote this. I will not do it again. Not that anyone does or should care. If you read the entire thread you would have read that Jeff admitted he fell behind on updating the FAQs section, and that Jon re-topped the sig rules thread and he's been slacking on keeping it topped.

The ONLY rules we ask from you people is to treat eachother with the respect you feel you should be given back, and if you dont feel like you should be given respect then none will be given back when you've been banned.

The other rule is about a fucking SIG pic! Holy horse shit, it's a SIG PIC!! We have the rule for the sigs so that people can read through a thread without everything looking a mess. Have you ever been in a thread where someone posts a picture that is way too big? The entire thread looks like hell, and who wants to read it? How about when a member has a storybook writen under there sig? Like you want to read a 125 word essay in a post where the member only says maybe 2 words about the actual topic. The sig rules are for thread reading purposes. If youre going to complain about that....then you really have problems.

This thread was the result of some bad choices made by HK and myself that further complicated issues that weren't complicated to begin with.

When I am done with Foundry you will see a major revision both in the graphic design of this board as well as feature enhancements that will absolutely clarify all the ambiguity that might be causing some tension.

If I may, I'd like to address some things:

1) From my web stats on this website, there hasn't been any noticeable decline in visitors to the site. In fact, if you chart it on a graph, there was a huge swell when WNEW went down, then it dipped and eventually leveled out to a level slightly lower than when they were on the air....which is to be expected. As more people from DC discover the show and the audience grows, the site will grow.

2) We are working to make sure your connection to the Ron & Fez Show will not be losted. Our friendly "administrator" Gluck is assisting us on that end. Gluck is not a pirate. He is a hacker who has helped me by showing me flaws in my code which, in the hands of someone who really wanted to do damage, could wipe out this entire site's database in no time. He's not compromising the board, I TOLD him to do this months ago.

3) There has been a lot of mod/user tension. I hope you people understand how difficult it is to make a value judgement on someone else's opinoin and censor it. It's not easy, especially in this ultra-liberal environment. Give them some credit, and when they get overboard, try to understand why they are so passionate about certain issues. TALK to them.

4) You are the most important part of this website. Your contributions of wit and humor keep this place fresh and creative and I thank you all for being here. Now if we can only get rid of JerseyRich...

Anyway...I have to finish Foundry now, let's just remember how much fun we can have as opposed to how hard we can fight.
