I am listening to last nights show right now and I can't stand billy talking on air anymore. He's got this wierd Woody Allen thing going on, when he talks, and I feel like shooting myself.

It has been going on for about a week or so, Billy is not his normal self. (If we can call Billy normal). Only kidding Billy.

He has been sick and he has been popping a lot of zanax lately and you can definitely hear it in his voice. He does not have his usual energy when he is on mike.

We need everyone to keep spreading the word about Ron and Fez. Get you friends, coworkers, hell anyone you talk to get them to listen.

Ron and Fez should kick him off the show until he sobers up and gets help. He is so damn annoying now making excuses for his "disease". All he does is substitute one addiction for another blaming everything and everyone but himself for his predicament. Enough already. Show this guy some tough love and show him the door. As long as he's still there he won't change his behavior.

Billy accurately states that alcoholism is a disease. More accurately though it's a psychopathology.

Some people are born with a genetic predisposition for alcoholism but not everyone at risk becomes an alcoholic.

Billy's main problem (and this is typical of substance abusers) is that he denies all responsibility for his actions. Even though he is an alcoholic (and sounds like he's well on the way to a xanax dependency) he needs to own up to what he's doing and take charge of the situation.

Continuing to drink or take drugs and blame it on the psychopathology accomplishes nothing, other than delaying hope of treatment.

Billy is one of the sweetest persons I know. Watching (?) him go down the tubes is very disheartening. The thing is that as awful as watching a person's addictions destroy a person, his being on air is priceless. How can we ignore his bout with anthrax, falling UP the stairs, the Red Bank debacle and the ensuing Pennsylvania road trip, and this is just to name a few. Laughing hysterically at the image of him asleep in a meeting with a baloney sandwich sticking out of his pocket has just confirmed my reservation in hell.

Whether Billy's xanax is prescribed by his physician or not is irrelevant. Billy appears to have become dependant on yet another substance. By his own admission he is medicating himself for reasons other than the reason for the prescription, i.e. taking them to help him sleep on the train.

I have hung out with Billy on several occasions and know that he is a great and fun guy, (yes, he was sober), but I agree the fact that if he is going to turn himself around, he needs some tough love. People making it easy or feeling sorry for him are doing him no favors.

One time I came home from a overextended "powder" and my wife was pissed at me.

We then had to go on a drive to visit a friend and while we were in the car, billy was doing one of his apologies, this may have been the second one, when they started calling him "big orange ball of failure".

After that she felt I wasnt that bad, and the pressure was off. I think Billy is a great deflection.

Billy falls in at the same level of Al Dukes because some of the best Ron and Fez moments (IMHO) occured during episodes of getting them drunk and observing the results.

I for one, miss them both.

I still want to see how Al would mesh with the Cosmic Circus.
