DC 2nd "Strongest" Radio Market
Radio & Records reports that DC is the second financially strongest US radio market, largely due to retail store sales. That's according to a Morgan Stanley study, which measures radio companies' revenue exposure to the strongest and weakest markets.
While Sacramento is tops, DC "is the second-strongest market. Radio One's 13 percent exposure there is just one of many strong showings for that company in the study." Chicago, Charlotte, and Phoenix round out the top five.
The weakest radio markets - NYC, Boston, Denver, and Dallas.....
