it is ending. the greatest written show ever is ending in less than 2 weeks. and we have to wait until monday for word on whetehr or not Angel returns next season.
well i will miss Buffy very much. it has given us some of the best television we will ever see. most notably the season 2 finale. ive said it time and time again...it was the best 2 hours of TV that i have ever witnessed. the show is a cult classic..similar to that of star trek and x-files. if u watch it u love it and if u dont u hate it.
buffy has shown us an intelligent way to develop a character, and the development of the show itself. the tranformation of each character has been a steady road to travel. willow has gone from a shy, techno geek to a super powerful lesbian witch. and thing is the transformation made sense....although it wouldve been nice to see Oz every week.
the show also doesnt forget any character or enemy. it draws from the past, i mean in even this the last season they make references to the very first season, and it all adds up.
sure there were some miscues (season 4 ugh and the way they killed the Judge) but even buffy's worst show can compare to any other dramas mediocre show. this show will b missed, but i thank god for DVD.

yes. the acting and plot may run thin at times but the dialogue is always, always strong. thats the beauty of the show, in the dialogue. buffy has never given me a line where i say 'ugh' no other show i have ever watched faithfully can say that.

Yes, if not the best, then certainly one of the best. the nuances, character development, and sparkling dialogue of that show (and anything that Joss Whedon works on) is above the cloud cover for modern televison

Shall we venture to guess who will die in the finale? Also, if they try another spin-off, who should be the star(s)?
I am going to miss the show. Kept my Tuesday nights fun. Now, I got nothing. At 8pm that is.

Spike is moving to Angel, Eliza Dushku has a contract with another show, so there will be no Faith spin off. i think that Buffy, Willow and Xander are all going to live. I Hope Anya dies and Xander and Willow get together. i also have a feeling that andrew is going to make some heroic sacrifice to redeem himself (because that's how I would write it).
Is it me, or is andrew kind of a parody of Spike? He wears that trenchcoat, and he likes to act as if he's all dark, but trying to be good (like spike actually is) but to andrew, its all romanticized.

Buffy was one of the few TV shows I used to set time on the side for. The characters, diaogue, and stories every week were entertaining and interesting.
My fav episodes were mostly from season 2 (Passion) especially. I think that season pretty much was the best one.

Variety has confirmed that Angel has been renewed, Spike will be on that show, and Cordelia won't be.

I love the way they left the ending WIDE open so all the Buffy fans are going "Yeah...what now?"

Some of you thought that was good?
I liked parts of it. Other parts were just bad - such as the final couple moments, where they all stop and share a joke or two. Literally only moments after a good number of them DIED, including Anya, the love of his life. And yet, look! There is is making those incorrigible Xander jokes as the show closes! AWFUL.
As a series finale, it was grossly underwhelming.
But it wasn't a BAD finale, because of one single reason: Spike. Once again, James Marsters shows why Spike is the BEST character that ever appeared on that show. His story was so much more intriguing and deep than Buffy's, and last night it came to an appropriate close. Here's to seeing him again on Angel.

actually i loved the ending. it the most appropriate way to end the show. 4 the past 7 yearswe've learned what ben parker taught us years ago: with great power comes great responsiblity. Buffy never wanted her power, she always thought of it as a burden, she always wanted to lead a normal life, now with the abundance of slayers she has that chance, thats why shes smiling like she smoked a blunt for the first time. for true fans of the show it was a satisfying ending........
