...once you hit your late 20's everyone is stuck in this great limbo land. they've all just gotten over having their hearts broken by that certain someone while in their early to mid 20's so they're still too fragile to get into anything serious. but at the same time they've lost that teenage libido so you just end up laying in bed, naked, staring at each other trying to figure out what the hell to do next!

First of all, welcome to the board. I think I know where you're coming from, however I've never been in a situation where I'm naked staring at the girl thinking what to do. I've had ups and downs in relationships, lost loves and good solid ones, but I've never been confused on what goes where, or what we're doing next.

Can you clarify what the problem is, is it that the/your partner has no idea what to do sexually, or is it more of where you're at and headed in the relationship?

i'm going to attempt to decipher this... let me know if i've done a decent job of it.

i think what this cat person is trying to say is that it's hard to find a good relationship. lots of people complain about not being able to find someone and being unlucky with love, yet when she shows an interest in them, they do not reciprocate. she wonders how they can complain about not being able to find someone to be with when she's right there, wanting to be with them.

then, i think we're looking at a brief analysis of why things are so hard. when people are in their early to mid twenties, they're not ready to get into a serious relationship, maybe because they're still too fragile at that point. by their late twenties, people have already had their hearts broken by someone they were serious about, and are sort of stuck in limbo trying to figure out what to do next. further, these late twenty-somethings, though ready to look for another serious relationship, have lost some of the libido they had when they were teenagers... so even though you can maybe get into the realtionship with them, they're not as much fun.

ok, sorry to create confussion.
just noting a facinating human phenomenon (sp?) i've run into latley.
lately i've heard "oh, i've had my heart broken by such-and-such and i'm just not ready yet for a committment." and yes, they are willing to sleep with you but they get frightened that it may be taken the wrong way and it means that you DO want a relationship. whereas, when you're a teen it's much easier to have meaningless sex...just blame it on immaturity.
and not to say i'm excluded from this. i was a horny girl as a teen, i had my heart broken badly in my early 20's. the difference is i'm a horny girl now who's not really looking for committment but it seems guys think i am because i want to sleep with them so they get scared and start acting stupid!

I believe that men and women are indeed interested in intimate relationships in their 20's, but many are unwilling or unable to take the first steps. It's certainly a risk to do so, but the benefits to be gained are worth the risk.
