Unreal news for the many Fuzzfanatics and Terence Hill-Heads in these parts. Right in the middle of beatiful southern New Jersey, Super Fuzz will be screening on Sunday Night, June 29th, 2003 at 7:30 pm. For the low low price of 6 bucks, you can dig on a once in a lifetime chance to see Super Fuzz in it's 35 mm glory. It's part of a Sunday night series called Drive In Sundays, focusing on films of the 70's that found their lives on video and in TV distribution. Several great films lined up, here's the roster for the next 2 months of Sundays:

May 18 Five Masters of Death
May 25 The Losers
June 1 Assault on Precinct 13
June 8 Night of the Living Dead
June 15 Revenge of the Cheerleaders(featuring David Hasselhoff as "Boner"
June 22 Cannibal Holocaust
June 29 Super Fuzz

This is spin-off of the quasi well known "Exhumed Films" screening, featuring monthly(or so) screenings of classic American and Italian horror from the 70's thorugh today. However, it's a new partnership trying to bring these films to the screen, and they need all the audience they can get to keep running. I can vouch for the screenings however, they are a blast, usually feature classic trailers, and there is usually a fine merchandise table of horror and cult DVD and VHS, as well as T-shirts and other kitsch items. I couldn't recommend the experience more.

And the theatre it's in is a tremendous venue. The beautifully and painstakingly restored Pitman Theatre. Classic theatre achitecture, over 75 years old, complete with theatre pipe organ music played live prior to the show, and an actual balcony. It's worth the trip to see this venue alone, and was once a popular vaudvillian theatre.

The address is:

43 South Broadway
Pitman, NJ 08071

You can call the theatre after 6:00pm at 856-589-7519.

I hope to see all you Super Fuzz fans there as well as those other classic films screened. It's a 4 hour round trip for me, but I'm definately planning on attending 4 of the upcoming events. I love the big screen experience, and this is a once in a lifetime chance to see most of these!
