Saudi Arabia is considered to be a "terrorist friendly" nation. Granted they are attempting to direct their attack towards Western people but the terrorists know that Saudis will also be injured or killed.

Maybe Saudi Arabia has "really" turned their policies around since the removal of Saddam Hussein and the terrorists are upset.

This is horrible for the people who are injured or killed but maybe it will help in the war against terrorism in the long run. If the terrorists start causing death in the Arab countries then it will change the thinking of the leaders of the Arab country that's affected, and they will do more to stop terrorism.

Saudi Arabia didn't want the US to go after Iraq. Not to mention how the invasion will hurt their profits in the oil industry as well as lessen the power of OPEC in the oil industry. The people their are probably glad we are closing our bases, but see Powell's visit as a way to re-enforce our ties, influence and complaince.
