Some ramblings from Main Street in Fairfax. Was that an ad for XM on JFK-FM this morning? If so, was it a change in policy for the Infinity station, which didn't allow ads from so-called competitive radio services? (I'm told not so, that 106.7's been running XM ads for a while.) And, was that an ad for the HFStival on JFK-FM this morning? If so, that's the first time that the Infinity station has been running ads for one of its sister stations. So, what, the tickets must not be selling well, huh? Hey, maybe JFK-FM should start running ads for Donnie Simpson's PGC-FM (sister station) show, as the "non n-word show alternative to Howard Stern." It seems that the "n-word" is becoming a daily required uttering on the ever gasping for "comedy" Stern's morning zoo. We've heard it now for the past four or five shows. And, how about JFK-FM afternoon duo Don and Mike's trip to Iceland, courtesy of Iceland Air. It's nice to see them working sponsorship shilling into their show.

We hear that Infinity's trying to snag "Depends" adult diapers as a new sponsor and that Ron and Fez will be wearing them all next week on their evening show. And hyping the fact. Ah, it's fun to see JFK-FM scrambling for the ad bucks. Highly entertaining stuff.

AJ I have already sent a reply to Dave at DCRTV to lay off the boys.

Ok Dave, As mentioned in another post WJFK -FM has been airing XM commercials for a long time. As for the Don and Mike trip to Iceland, WJFK has been giving away trips to Iceland for the past couple of years on Don and Mike and Howard's show. As for the cross promoting and using on air commercials on the different Infinity stations why not? Use your resources that you have to promote shows; everyone knows that Infinity is cheap and they will not pay for advertising. Lastly lay off Ron and Fez they are good guys that was a cheap crack about the Depends. Ok maybe they may be shilling 5 Guys pretty hard, but they are far from being old men wearing diapers. Well, he does have a point here. Don and Mike have been doing live reads again and they've already got Ron and Fez doing local commercials for 5 Guys.

There is nothing wrong with these guys doing live ads and it is very cool that 5 guys want Ron and Fez to do some live commercials.

We have some core die hard listeners in DC and we need to help this station spread the word. Fluffernutter did a bumpersticker and I am going to send it to Ron and Fez for approval and hopefully we can get them made and distributed to people in the area.

I tried to mention the message board on the air last week but Ronnie brushed over it and looking at some of the new members on the board they are still coming from up north. I don't know why we are not getting more people from the area on here.

I am sure many of you guys listened to the junkies and can tell that we have a bigger variety of callers calling the show and we have a lot of women calling the show so I know the ratings will rise over the next few months.

I put a radio psychic on DCRTV that by the end of this year Ron and Fez will be in the top 3. I know we can make this happen. Rory has told me that he appreciates the support that we are giving the show.

I no this has been said before but I think we need a remote show. Ron and Fez should take over Bridges on a Wednesday/Thursday night we would pack the place. I am positive we could get a good crowd in that place.

Oh By the way Jafter, if youve ever been near Chantilly High School, youll know its got the shed the sports teams paint.

I think this summer Pete and I will color it Red White and Blue with Ron and Fez all over it.

Its not huge exposure, but during rush hour, its get backed up on string-fellow so people will see it.

I heard about the rant first from seeing your letters in the DCRTV mailbag tonight - way to go!

That was a cheep shot.

Just because he's disappointed by the shows he's a fan of (Howard and D&M) doesn't mean he should be taking swipes at Ron and Fez. By and large I agree with Jafter that Dave seems like a good guy, but he has never really given R&F a chance.
