Oscar-winner Michael Moore's next project will depict the murky relationship
between President Bush's father and the family of Osama bin Laden,
suggesting that the bin Laden family was greatly enriched by that
association. Moore is set to make a deal with Mel Gibson's Icon Productions
to finance Fahrenheit 911, a documentary which will trace why the U.S. has
become a target for hatred and terrorism. It will also depict alleged
dealings between two generations of the Bush and bin Laden clans that led to
George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden becoming mortal enemies. Said Moore: "The primary thrust of the new film is what has happened to the country since
September 11 and how the Bush administration used this tragic event to push
its agenda. It certainly does deal with the Bush and bin Laden ties. It asks
a number of questions that I don't have the answers to yet, but which I
intend to find out."

I can't see any truth coming out of this. To think of anything about 911 as a money maker is VERY farfetched. Lets watch him lie some more, I'll certainly see it, probably like it, yet hate him still.

It could be interesting. the bin laden family is a huge supporter of capitalism and of america. osmama hates his family, so I would slant this as a blood fued between osama and the bin laden family, with bush being a pawn to be used against bin laden's family.

Interesting concept

The only movie of his I would pay to see would be one named "Michael Moore shoots himself in the face."

And even THAT I'd wait to rent on VHS.

Yes DH, you would slant it that way because it would be intelligent and interesting to do so - thus making the movie compelling and thought-provoking. However, we all know that Michael Moore would never do it that way.

It will be the standard "Bush is evil, Bush is stupid, because Bush is Republican" crap that he is alway running off at the mouth about.

Yeah, he's trying to make it like it's his "duty" to tear down Bush simply because he's there...yawn...

Only one thing could make this movie more far-fetched: a scene wher Micheal Moore walks past free ice cream on his way to a salad bar.

the bush administration was in the process of paying off the taliban to get their support for an oil pipeline in afganhistan leading up to 9/11.
you can read about this in the book "forbidden truth" by jean-charles brisard and guillaume dasquie
bush (along with every single regime on earth) used the events of 9/11 to push his own agenda. he even used it to invade iraq, and his administration continues to use it against iran and syria.

but that doesnt matter because "lol michael moore is fat lol"

A better way to put it would be:
one's nationality does not negate ones opinion, or one's research.

It will be the standard "Bush is evil, Bush is stupid, because Bush is Republican" crap that he is alway running off at the mouth about.

Worse. You KNOW he will find some way to twist this to insinuate that Bush caused 9-11, or that he was too inept of a president to stop it from happening.

I'm sure this work of FICTION will be as full of factual inaccuracies and blatant lies as all of Moore's work has become.

Why is Mel producing this, though? Bush do something to piss off the Catholics?

Actually this is going to be really interesting. There are a lot of questions that are never asked about the Bush/Bin Laden relationship. Unfortunately, those who do asked them aren't attacked for the factuality of their arguments, but for being fat, or liberal, or being a conspiracy nut. And from the looks of some on this board there are those who are all too willing to allow such very important questions to go unanswered.

After all Prescott Bush funded the Nazis even after WWII was being fought. His father presided over the CIA during some of the agency's worst terrorist atrocities abroad. His brother Neil is a pretty big-time Wall Street crook. Criminality kind of runs in the family.

There is a great book that is now #4 on the New York Times bestseller list. It is called "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy". It's written by BBC investigative reporter Greg Palast. It talks about the theft of the 2000 election, the Bush Administration purposely derailing the Bin Laden investigation, etc.

One of the really interesting things it talks about is the multiple lawsuits that are pending against President Bush I, and Bush II filed by FBI agents who said they were ordered to "back off" Bin Laden.

You don't even need to go digging in the conspiracy wells to make a very interesting, thought-provoking documentary about Bush and Bin Laden...they don't have to be "linked"...I just find it fascinating that the two lived very parallel lives in terms of how they grew up (Very aimless youths, very rich and well to do, had most of their first jobs essentially handed to them by their fathers, didn't find their true "callings" until their 30's), and how differently their ultimate paths branched off, yet still remained oddly similar...
