That is a very old riddle with five possible answers.(each of which I think is dumb)

Hey Fantomas, not to be mean, but I just wanted to let you know before an admin did that your sig pic is 218X147. I'm pretty sure limit is 300X100, so you can prolly stretch it wider but you should shrink down the height. Sorry, and again, not trying to be a jerk. ;)

MR. FANTOMAS - If I recall, the riddle originates with Lewis Carol's, Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland. The asnwer given is "nothing." Very Zenlike. LOL.

It ended up giving Carol grief b/c people kept bugging him to give an answer to this riddle (that wasn't supposed to have an answer).

Some answers given (which miss the whole point of the exchange with the Mad Hatter) are:

1. Because it can produce a few notes, tho they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!'

2. Because the notes for which they are noted are not noted for being musical notes.

3. Because Poe wrote on both.

BTW, answer number 1 was from Lewis Carol. I don't remember who wrote the other two.
