According to Variety, Artisan Pictures and Marvel Studios have set John Travolta to play the lead villain opposite Thomas Jane in the adaptation, which Jonathan Hensleigh is directing from his own script. Filming begins in July, for a summer 2004 release.

lets be fair he has done 2 good movies Pulp Fiction and SwordFish. And there are rumors of Quinin Terintino doing a Vega Brothers movie staring of cause Mr.Blond and Vinny Vega. i think he could be good cause all he has to do is shoot up the punisher's family and sit behind a deck like a crime boss. howard today said who was gonna play punisher but i forget the name. if they do it right it will be at least as decent as daredevil.
