I absolutely HATE having to sit through commercials at the movies, but apparantly, a new 'study' showed that 2/3 of moviegoers don't mind them. Great, now we'll never enjoy the previews again.

If I go to the movies its usualy with a bunch of friends so we have to get there early to save seats. Not only do the still-screen ads and so called trivia suck these commercials last way too long.

I love when my friend gets sneek preview tickets. They just start the movie, no ads at all.

the film studios have opened up "coming attractions" from upcoming movies to stuff like seirra mist, mazda, coke, getmovieticketsonline.com stuff. They are now making money on it on the side. if they take them away they are going to be like "fine we'll raise ticket prices to make that up," and ticket prices in the city are upto $10 anywhere you go.

unfortunately it cannot go back once they start making money.

On the opening weekend of a movie, a majority of the profits go back to the studios. The longer a movie is in the theatre, the larger the percentage goes to the theatre itself. The theatre has to recoup these losses somehow.
