Hey crew! Good news! The Tech gods smile upon me! (Grandma) I ordered and paid for a BRAND NEW, BAD ASS Comp. GrimSanity hooked me up with a phat computer store he gets good deals and cool gear from. I got a good price on it. I get a keyboard, speakers, mouse and the tower with all sorts of great shit in it.

So as a way of saying FUCK YOU to my OLD comp, please direct any and all insults to this piece of shit.

It has 24 MB of some RAM they don't even make anymore

It has the first Pentium chip in it.

I have about 6 Gigs of hard drive space, and that's only because Grim gave me a bigger hard drive! I originally had like 4 Gigs.

I don't know the graphics or sound cards, but they can't even play simple games. That Wheelchair Spear game that was posted on this site ran about a frame a second for me.

It has no USB ports.

The battery on the Motherboard is dead or something because it doesn't keep the correct time or date. IT always resets when I turn it back on.

As for the video card. If i am correct, the guy who does the systems puts in either a G-Force 2 or G-Force 3. My system as a G-Force 2, only because my 3 had a fan problem, but the G-Force 2 works good enough. Now if you want power wait till June and buy the G-Force FX. . . thats going to be a powerful card.

I upgraded from the geoforce 2 to the radeon 9700 pro and the framerate gain was unbelievable, even cranked up to maximum resolution and all game options enabled.

HK's right, I had the Radeon 9700 on a system I ultimately sold and it kicked ass. Mine was an all in wonder card and it was great. It's a solid card and perfect for gamers and anyone interested in playing any kind of multimedia decently on their systems.
