I saw Reloaded last night, and I really liked it as I expected to, but there were a few problems with it that makes me wish there were four movies in the series instead of three. The flaws are all a result of there simply not being enough time to cram multiple new storylines, and multiple new characters into one flick, and still be able to develop them all effectively.
As a result of said "cramming" the film doesn't allow the audience to develop an emotional attachment to the new characters. Nor does it give the implications of the different events that occur time to fall upon the characters, depriving the storylines of needed weight.
There isn't much pay-off either. This movie only poses new questions instead of answering any. Plus, everything we thought we knew in the first one is turned on its head (i believe for a a purpose that will be revealed in Revolutions), creating still more questions.
Now, today i heard from a friend of mine in LA who has a cousin who works for Joel Silver. His cousin has read the third script, and is supposedly sending a copy to my friend. All he has said about it is, "as much as you may be frustrated by the second isntallment, your satisfaction with the third will be well worth it."
The questions apparently make sense, and according to him the critics will be eating their hats come November.
