Or so says a columnist in the NY Post, which as most of you will agree, is not exactly a hotbed of Bush-bashing.
Admittedly, it is a little early to decide whether we have won or lost the peace in Iraq. If a year from now were getting stories from Iraq that they have the start of a working government that includes all the ethnic groups, the people in the big cities have access to power, clean water, food and some level of medical care, the kids are in schools that teach something besides martyrdom and, yes, the oil is getting pumped and shipped, then I'll admit I was wrong and tip my hat to W.
However, I'm not seeing how we get there from where we are now. As anybody who plays those nerdly PC games like Civilization or even SimCity can tell you (or even anybody who has ever read a history book), it is a lot easier to break a civilization than it is to build one. Yes, I'm glad Saddam is out of power but I'm still a bit wary of what is going to replace him.
