Five Guys of NY

I was listening to the Five Guys episode and maaaaan was I "OK now I starvin..." Figured I'd start a thread about burger joints for all of us NY people who can't enjoy the Five Guys that seem so great! Maybe it's the Jackson Hole of DC...I dont think they make their bread fresh but its still pretty good! Love the Chedder burger w/ a side of potato salad.... you are all set!!

Any other recommendations??

Not quite NYC, but here it goes.

I frequent the Allendale Bar & Grill of (duh) Allendale, NJ. Great burgers, nice sizzling steak. Also try Peppercorns in Park Ridge, NJ, and Jackson Hole in Englewood. Stingers in Wallington makes a bitchin' burger, too. Steve's Sizzling Steaks on 17 South for steaks.

When all else fails, go to the White Castle on 17 South by Teterboro.

I'd wager that a burger prepared by one woman would beat out a burger prepared by five guys.

Unless they're chefs. And chef's don't usually work on burgers.
