I know we have a lot of people on both sides of the fence on Led Zeppelin, but for those of us who like/love Led Zepppelin on May 27th the band is releasing a new dvd and 3 cd live album. I heard a track on the radio yesterday and it was very cool.
Zeppelin has finally retained the rights to Led Zeppelin .com

This has some great info about the DVD and the CD. There are going to be some viewings of the DVD in select LOEWS theaters around the country including NY and MD. Jones, Page, and Plant will also be making an appearance on the today show and Conan O'Brien the week of May 27th. You can also hear 5 songs from the upcoming 3 cd set.
We need everyone to keep spreading the word about Ron and Fez. Get you friends, coworkers, hell anyone you talk to get them to listen

If you go to Amazon.com you can save $7 if you pre-order a copy.
I can't wait for the DVD -- I have some of that footage on crappy bootlegged videos.

Go to the Links that Jafter put up...
The Ocean
Over the Hills and Far Away
Heartbreaker
The Immigrant Song...
Some of the songs that you can preview off of the 3 cd set. I will be at the store on Tuesday morning next week to purchase this set.
I think the live stuff is from California shows...Not from "The Song Remains the Same", which was a show at MSG.
It's called How the West was Won...because of the shows from California.

They recorded 2 shows out in California in 72 and have melded them together. Check out the website for the list of songs. They also have 5 tracks that you can hear.
AJ WARW is giving away copies of either the DVD or CD all this week on LED before BED 10pm m-f.

Jimmy Page Calls Chance Of Led Zeppelin Reunion A 'longshot'
Guitarist Jimmy Page has once again said a Led Zeppelin reunion is "a longshot." Page told The Toronto Sun that he and bandmates Robert Plant and John Paul Jones "still have not discussed" the possibility of reuniting, even though they've been together recently to discuss their upcoming live projects. Page oversaw the production of the five-hour Led Zeppelin DVD and three-CD How The West Was Won, both of which come out May 27th.
But Page did not completely rule out the possibility of a reunion: "If the remaining members could get in a room, and if we could look each other in the eye and pick up the instruments and play some songs, and still look each other in the eye, and there was a smile behind those eyes, then I would go, 'Right. Fair enough.'"
Page did, however, say that for him to take part in any Led Zeppelin reunion, it would have to be to create new material, not just for an oldies tour. "If there is anything I would really be scathing of, it would be a band--not mentioning any bands here--but a band that goes out promoting product that they did 30 years ago in a live capacity," Page said.

This weekend some stations are going to have a 2 hour special with Plant, Jonesy, and Page talking about the new album and dvd. I know that WARW is going to air it Monday night I think around 7pm.
Just a heads up for you Zep fans.

If anyone is interested.
Circuit City has a deal if you buy both the 3cd set and the DVD it will only cost you 30.00 for both. They must be bought at the same time
Other wise they are 16.99 cd 17.99 DVD.
That is the best deal I have seen yet.
