OK. If this guy has SARS, I do feel bad for him. He's working for the CDC trying to combat this illness. And I'm sure the U.S. has better facilities to treat him than Taiwan.

However, why fly him back here? I know I'm being insensitive, but why are we purposely flying an infected individual back here? There is a lot we don't know about SARS right now, so why take the chance?

Or am I just being a dick?

We have the best facilities to treat him. That's why we haven't had one SARS death in the US yet. I am sure the CDC will take care that he doesn't infect anyone else.

Hong Kong took another big step forward in the fight against SARS on Friday when University of Hong Kong researchers announced that they had discovered that the deadly virus had originated in cats.
