This time in the form of Instant Feedback! Hahaha! I'm sitting here listening to Chris Carlin at 3:42 AM on the FAN (...stop laughing) and he reads a message from "Iris in Bay Ridge". The message said something along the lines of "Stop the Yankee bashing you fat mess. I bet you haven't seen your toes in years. Why don't you go on a diet?" CLASSIC. Ron & Fez's spirit continues to live on in NYC radio.

I've actually switched from WFAN to ESPN 1050 and 920 for a lot of reasons.

1) I can't stand the "regular" callers like Doris and Jerome.

2) They don't have any FUN like ESPN does.

example: ESPN had Kareem on last week, and they talked to him for 20 minutes about Airplane!. The next day, they had both Leslie Nielsen and Peter Graves on. I like my sports mixed with entertainment, and ESPN is a good fit.

I agree about Joe Benigno on the FAN. He's on at crazy hours but it's the only thing on NY radio worth listening too. He respects the callers and is very entertaining especially when he goes off about one of his teams.

I haven't listened to sports radio for 2 years, but I plan to this summer because I'm majoring in Journalism in the fall.

I like ESPN because they aren't so serious, like WFAN and they don't beat NY sports to death, like WFAN. The only show on WFAN that I can set apart from the rest is Imus.

Plus, ESPN had Aaron Garcia on last week :)

I'll admit to getting Iris through to Steve Sommers the Friday before the Preakness talking to him about two horses who had a good shot to win the race- Run, Ronny, Run and Who Let the Fez Out. And I got to Sid & Jodie the other day as Herby saying that Vijay Singh should mudrestle Anika Sorenstan on the Ron & Fez show but I never work through instant feedback and always give a Ron & Fez tag line.
