They say you die from the heart attack, not the fall.

Then why don't you die when you bungee jump?

Whoever they is is partially correct, you can die from a heart attack on the way down, but then again you can just fall all the way down and instantly die.

my friend fell off a 4 story building and lived.

He broke almost every bone and lost all his teeth but no heart attack.

actually its niether. Depending on the height, you can die from the fall, but what people mean is that you panic yourself to death on a long fall. You dont have an attack bunjeeing cause you know your gonna be ok. But usually its a mix of the heart racing and people screaming and becoming short of breath and pass out, then you dont feel it when you hit the ground, but the ground is actually what kills you.

It's the sudden snap of your neck when an over-eager Spider-Man snags you with his web.

SV - Most who die from falls from buildings don't die until impact. They might (but most often don't) pass out beforehand from fear. In only a miniscule amount of cases do people actually have heart attacks.

People are much less likely to die from bungee jumping because there is usually no impact. However, if the harness isn't hooked up properly, or the length of cord is miscalculated impact can occur and death results.

In some cases people pass out from fear while bungee jumping, but passing out is not the same as a heart attack.
