Has Anyone Matched in Pinball?

I've played thousands of games of pinball and have NEVER made a match at the end of the game.

I think they put feature in to get the morons to stand infront of the game for 15 more seconds.

the old "big click" sound was like "bells of an ice cream truck" to a kids ears...

the next best thing was getting "extra balls"...

yeah, I've done it plenty of times. There's a huge ass banging sound that makes you think you broke the machine.

Yeah, like Mikey said, I seem to get matches (Or a free ball/game somehow) practically every other time I rock the paddles.

i get it about 10% of the time. this one game when i was younger would always match for me if i hit the start button really fast. i dont know why it did that.

I have played pinball. Did they have "matches" on the machines at Nunley's in Baldwin and Nathan's in Oceanside? Last time I played was like 20 years ago so I'm not sure if I ever got a match.

Matches pretty much only came around once they added the electronic message screens (a la baseball scoreboards) when pinball machines became super beastly and awesome in the early and mid-90's. After your final ball bites the big one, you're assigned a number on the screen, and if that number pops up again, you get a free game/point bonus/extra ball.

Sorry, Mojo, I used to play a Six Million Dollar Man pinball machine all the time in the 80's and it had the free game. It was introduced in the 80's when they went from the rolling numbers to an LED display to display numbers.

i used to work at a comic book store and they can actually set the percent of matches the games spits out. we were never busy so 1 quarter could get you about 20 plays cause we had it set at the highest
