I still don't know how I feel about her. Carpetbagger or not, every time I hear about the things that she's actually doing or saying (which is generally when I hear people ranting about her on WLIE), I seem to agree with most of them - but that could just be my natural inclination since I think I disagree with most everything that those guys on the station say anyhow.

When did this happen? Was it after she had "supported" them? What, was she supposed to somehow magically get her money and time back if she donated it BEFORE these killings? If it happened AFTER and she was aware of them, I agree, it was a mistake, and she should have NOT offered up her support.

Something else I find interesting is that here's someone who was a force in the White House for 8 years and is now a senator. She has seen a lot and dealt with a lot of things besides her husband's philandering, and yet that's about all anyone wants to talk about.
The real important issues she has dealt with get ignored.
Back when she presented the Clinton administration's health care plan, what, 10 years ago or something, the argument was made and accepted by both sides that health care costs were rising faster than incomes, 40 million americans withou health care needed it, and that something needed to be done.
Since so little has been done, the situation has gotten worse and worse.

Great. Then Hillary should have written her book about that and not mentioned Monica at all. Of course, then she wouldn't have sold any books, so how could she have done that? She is the one bringing this up again so prominently, she wrote the book talking about it and is out on a massive media campaign to promote it. Not the Republicans. Still, you blame them for talking about the issue when it was Hillary who trotted it all out again. How is that right?

Because there is no law or anything forcing people to read the book or talk about it or her. I don't like her, I don't wanna read it, so I don't. The most powerful thing to do in a case like this is to NOT giver her attention and to NOT buy/read the book or talk about her damn book. Why is that so effin' hard?

I don't know. I think sometimes that's the case, but hardly with everyone. I myself would never count myself as a fan of her. I'm just always suprised at how you have people who dislike her, and then straight up FEAR her. It's kinda sad.

Oh this is so much horseshit.

Maybe this line of bull you just fed us plays down in the Bible Belt, but to the vast majority of us conservative folks - who are actually, you know, not driven by the sort of baseline chauvinism that you seem to be postulating is the reason for our dislike and / or distrust of the woman - there a myriad of reasons why she's hated or even feared.

I personally don't like her because I think she's a cold-hearted person who sets even new lows of dishonesty and corruption in the already cesspool-level world of big-time politics. As for the fear, her socialist politics do frighten me a bit. She's for quite a few things - income redistribution, for example - which I feel is dangerous to our capitliastic, DEMOCRATIC society. Frankly, the thought of her in the highest office possible makes me queasy much in the same way it must make you feel that Bush sits there now.

Writing off her detractors as just chauvinists afraid of her because she's a strong woman is just a convenient way for you to demonize those who can't stand her without addressing the reasons for why we don't like her.

I, quite frankly, could give a shit that she has a vagina.

I am amused at how many conservatives have such a strong emotional reaction to her, especially when we're talking about an election that's 5 years away.
At just the mention of her name, they lose self control-- it's hilarious!
It's one thing to disagree, it's quite another to be unable to resist the name-calling, the personal attacks, the slurs.
Why not just stick to the issues?
