I am not sure what peoples opinion's of the Billy Staples character are, but personally it is a really weird feeling that he is probably gone from the show as well. Rory and Hawk can get other jobs in radio as well as Mikey D having other things to fall back on. But Billy only really has the show. Aside from that, he is a man with a sickness and without Ronnie and Fezzie there trying to keep his ass on the wagon I fear the worst for him.

There's no conspiracy to this. The gus who worked and lived in NY are leaving the show because, well, they live in NY.

Ron and Fez go where they're wanted because it's the nature of the job and they're a team. The bit players can move on and be replaced.

As for the Rory leaving thing, I think he should have stayed on a bit longer or stayed in radio. He sounds totally unprepared.

Wow, I'd first off like to apologize to Rory for my laisse faire dismissal of his departure. I'd forgotten all he'd been a part of, the certain turmoil the show endure, and the general rollercoaster that's been the last 10 months or so of Ron and Fez. I'm left in near tears myself after hearing that closing. Someone posted earlier, joking or not, that I fear change, and that's me to a T. And the farther Ron and Fez drift away, the more scared I get that things won't get back to the way they were. Will the next producer be as accomdating to NYers? Where will the show go?

I was asauged when Ronnie, introing the show closing "Tiny Dancer" said, "When your part of the band, you're always part of the band" or words to that direct effect.

When I heard "Tiny Dancer" I got a little choked up.

My Kryptonite would have been if Rory had asked for "Closing Time," the song that used to end the dot-com shows. I probably wouldn't have been able to start my shift. I hope Rory knows that if I didn't have to work, I'd be there wishing him well.
