American Castrati

First: "American Idol."

Then, today I see "American Juniors" on TV.

My idea: Bring back the castrati!

The show would combine two HUGE trends in TV: the "Reality Show" and the "Next Big Star" show.

The series would start with a bunch of little boys on the verge of puberty getting interviewed and auditioning.

Those who "make it" get castrated. This is the "Survivor/Fear Factor" part of the show.

Next, the show would follow the various castratito as they study, sing every day, take courses in music history and musical composition and play the harpsichord.

Enter the "Next Big Thing Phase."

A competition would follow to see which kid had the voice of pure gold, that "voice of angels."

I mean, it would take balls to enter this competition, but we might discover the next Michael Jackson!
