Since she is without internet until the weekend, I just wanted to share with everyone that Liz passed both parts of the Jeopardy! audition today and now she is awaiting a callback from the producers. She's very excited and extremely happy.

Oh man. . . he's convinced I'd kick his ass, but he's a smart guy, so I'm not so sure.

Now I have to practice being quick on the trigger finger. . . but that's what the Jeopardy! home-game is for. . .which, by the way, actually comes with a sample contestant exam.

I think that helped to calm my nerves.

If I get the callback, well, Los Angeles here I come!!!! :)

I was trying to come up with something witty for Supermarket Sweep but that show just plain sucks.

And I heard the one thing to remember about the buzzer is that there is a little light that has to come on before you can buzz in and if you buzz in before you're locked out for a second. So remember to have a little patience.

I was trying to come up with something witty for Supermarket Sweep but that show just plain sucks.
My driver's ed teacher way back when was on Supermarket Sweep and got wiped out by a guy who won who knows how many days in a row. This champion guy gave him the secret to his success... Olive Oil. The most expensive thing in the store is the gallon of Olive Oil, so he would take 3 Olive Oils (the max you can take) and then do his family's food shopping.

But what would one do with so many gallons of olive oil afterwards?

You people have no idea how smart Liz is to have passed this friggin test. I took it today, and failed miserably. My guess is that 10% of the people who take the test pass. I never had any doubt that Liz would pass, what surprised me is that I failed..but at least I got a nifty Jeopardy pen to keep!! Sooorry, Liz..you have to go to L.A. alone.
