And the swimsuits that (surprise, surprise) became translucent when wet.

What a sucky idea for a TV show, but I have to admit that I watched it all the time as a kid. Sadly, given the proliferation of reality shows, it might actually be the perfect time to bring it back. (Although, other than the first season of the Osbournes, celebrity reality shows don't seem to be hits).

Blast from the past....

My favorite memory of this show was when they had a competition between 60 year old overweight Edward Asner and 30ish dancer Lola Falana. It was a bike race around a track. As if the playing field wasn't "level" enough, the bike they gave Ed was locked in the lowest speed gear and Lola's was in the highest.

It was hysterical watching Ed pedal really fast and go not much farther than if he was on a stationary bike.

Amazingly, he almost won.
