"We pledge allegiance of the red, black and green/Our flag, the symbol of our eternal struggle/and to the land we must obtain." can be found just beneath the pledge of allegiance to the American flag.
so a dc caller brought up the black pledge of allegiance on the 6.05 show. initially, it seemed like an internet urban legend, like the lobster story(pretty good). i decided to do a little bit of investigative reporting and found this- the summation:
http://www.millwood.k12.ok.us/Students.htmthe school's wesite- pledge is no longer up; it was over a year ago an probably got pulled for a revamped design
http://www.aacs.org/pubs/ViewPArticle.aspx?ArticleID=863 what happened.
it seems like something blown out of proportion, but does bring about an interesting question: is it ethical for schools to promote a racial agenda?
