Britches of Georgetowne has been a Washington DC landmark, both its stores and corporate office, since it was founded in 1967. Starting simply as a men's clothier offering the most sophisticated suits and furnishing available, the company over the years added casual clothes to the assortment and grew rapidly in the surrounding area. Over 20 years ago the company added the Britches Great Outdoors division, which initially offered a wide variety of clothing and outdoor equipment and has since focused on offering a unique assortment of youth oriented merchandise for both Men and Women. Britches also has a factory division selling both first line as well as seasonal overstock and clearance merchandise.
With stores in over 13 states and with the mandate to grow at nearly 30% per year, Britches continues to expand its presence rapidly on the East Coast.
