throw up your blue bandannas, snoop finally said it!
on kay slay's invasion part II, the remix of p.i.m.p. has snoop saying he's a "muthafuckin c-r-i-p." i can't specifically reference the songs, but i know snoop gas referred to the c-walk and his colors being blue, but never outright a crip.
at this point in the "dis realm" of rap, i think the envelope has been pushed too far.
i could care less that snoop made these statements, but i do find them irresponsible. (i honestly couldn't sound more white) but, they are a slap in the face of suge, and history will tell, repurcussions will follow. wasn't snoop's caravan shot at a couple months ago (when this mixed tape dropped). but now he's alienated a part of the rap community that will now seek revenge for he public display of disrespect. i'm in upstate ny and the bllods and crips are in my community- it's not really a wst coast thing.
rap loves their martyrs, but this seems dumb. 2pac, biggie, big l, jm jay, etc... atleast white rockstars die from an overdose and go out like rock stars. i feel like there's a major overhaul needed to the whole industry; what your doing is selling and a guess is "for real," but face it, when you're pulling in a mil plus, you forfit your ghetto card. and really, why keep it.
this all started from a question on has anyone noticed anymore references from other artists claiming such alligences? but turned into a stupid rant on my opinion on hip hop today. i know there's a few of you out there with such opinions, so out with it.
