How about this. How about sports commentators stop telling me how brilliant some atheletes are. "Oh so and so graduated top of his class," or "Blah blah has a degree in bio-chemical-thermo-nuclear engineering." Not only do I not need to hear it, I don't fucking believe it. Listen, I went to a high school that was consistently in the running for the football State Championship for at least a good 10 years, and I can't think of one player on all those teams that was a brilliant student. Oh sure, some were smarter than others, smarter than me, smarter than most of the kids in their class, but none of them are winning Nobels. Anyone who is smart enough to graduate Yale cum laude isn't wasting their time playing monkey boy-ball toss for my amusement. Athletes are just that, athletes. Stop trying to make them more than they are. None of them are curing cancer or designing a non-polluting car. Get over it.

How about giving the government credit for actually teaching these things to its children, using their egregious mistakes as a tool of learning which is a hell of a lot more than most other countries do.

Okay, so that last one was more specific to that particluar incident, I was pissed at this chick, but it's a good example of the general idea. Unfortunately at the time my brain was soaked in Guiness and not perfoming up to speed. I did not engage her for fear of not being able to hold up my end of the argument. But like I said, she never shuts up so I'll get her next time.

I have had enough with people paying for groceries with checks. I get on a line that looks really short because Im in a hurry to not blow my entire Saturday in a store and some bozo whips out a check book! Get a fucking debit card asshole!
And another thing, I pay membership to be "privleged" to be able to shop in BJ's and Costco and the prices are the same as the supermarket AND I have to wait in a line that takes an hour to get up to the register and they dont even bag your shit, whats up with that? mine is close to this. instead of burps though its the hicups. we have a girl in our office who seems to get them everyday for about 10-15 minutes. that's not that bad, but she belts them out like an opera singer. you can muzzle them, but she refuses to. they are so f'n loud and everyone gets pissed and tells her to shut up, but she won't listen.
