Not too sound completely hopeless but can phone calls to these tools realy do anything. I would like to think that they woul dbut these people don't really listen. All these corporations think about is money and how they can make more. They dopn't care about us, the radio LISTENER. It's all about what ad time they can sell and in turn make a profit from that. Sorry to sound so defeatist but it just seems futile anymore. Seems as if the only way R & F will ever be on in NYC again is if they can make the station money. It looks a bit more promising now because of the recent Baltimore and Tampa additions and I only hope for it to eventually happen. I just don't see if these phone calls can work or not.

Phone calls can be effective Fluff. Lighting up a switchboard and flooding an executive with messages will create awareness and that's the key. R&F have been off the air here for quite a while, can you imagine Joel Hollander saying to himself "these people still care"? Phone calling is only one part of successful activism, along with letter writing, picketing and petitioning.
We all know how the corporate suits operate, and yes, it's an uphill battle but it's important to be heard and make your opinion known. Stranger things have happened in radio, so what the heck?
