View Full Version : Is there another "Ron and Fez?"

Do you think that somewhere in this country or even the world, there is a radio show as funny or inclusive as Ron and Fez that just hasn't been discovered by "Big Radio?"
Ron and Fez are seasoned veterans and have a humor that is unmatched by others in my mind, but do you think there is a small town on the West coast...or some small show in the Radio Munich market in Germany that makes just as many people laugh?
I miss the fellas badly. Nothing would make this lil guy from Jersey happier than to have my boys back in NYC radio.
Comments?

Probably not.
I read an article in a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly about hot "shock jocks" around the country, and they all just sounded AWFUL. I think one was called Bubba The Love Skunk? Truly horrible stuff.

They're called Hansel & Gruska. They have this funny bit where Gruska claims he has a fianc‚e up in Copenhagen, Denmark, but everyone knows he's just a Gretel.

Are you sure it wasn't Bubba the Love Sponge? He's supposedly been huge down in florida for years.
And good friends with Hulk Hogan

funny or inclusive
Those are the key words. They are both consistently funny and although they could continue to be so without opening up a single door or phone line to us, the listeners, they do that--and more. What other celebrities hang out with (and genuinely like) their fans as much or as often as R and F? They havent let their success go to their heads, and that my buddays is why there will never be another show like them anywhere, because there will never be another Ron Bennington or Fez Whatley.

Unfortunately, it is devestating and depressing that we will not be able to hang out with them in NY much longer. Words don`t describe how I will miss these guys.

Sorry, Gary...I just take a free copy of the leftover issues from work, but we need to pull the covers off and send those back, so I have no clue as to who was on the cover. I DO know it was one of the May issues, though not the one with all the "Matrix" hooplah.

Well said scaldalupo.
or some small show in the Radio Munich market in Germany that makes just as many people laugh?
Well no, but in DC there a really great program called "The Don and Mike Show". Oh my you should here the witty banter between these 2 comedians! I swear if they even come to NY they will TAKE OVER and dominate the ratings.
Mad props to Fluff for the sig and C.O.soup for hosting!
