11AM vs 7PM...

does anyone notice the difference between the morning and night shows? I don't think the quick "what's in the news" works for our buddays...what do you think...

I love the 11 AM hour.

Why?

Because it's JUST Ron & Fez. With all the "cast" shake ups lately, it's nice to just hear the two guys who got me listening to the damn show in the first place as the only ones on the air, working off of each other as only they can do. I think they've been hilarious during the morning hour, and it's the best possible advertising they can have at this point, because the new listeners are getting some primo new material.

Don't get me wrong, I like all the guys on the staff, but in the past year there's been just a bit too many people who are NOT R&F on the mic for my taste. This rules.

I think the boys learned a valuable lesson after pulling "two-a-day" shifts at 'NEW. It's an entirely different audience between middays and nights.

Bottom line, the midday callers were awful when compared to the night shift, and their "user friendly & interactive" type show that we all love just doesn't work without good callers participating.

But yeah, what mojo said so well. I'm really enjoying the 11am hour. I think they are much better at night, but I have no doubt that the guys would kick ass no matter what shift they're pulling.

Love the twoadays. Funniest shows ever. I hope they meltdown in total exhaustion just like last august.

I say the 11AM show - It's fast paced and funny as hell.

The only problem is that I've started tracking the 11AM show
for the show log thread
here (http://www.ronfez.net/messageboard/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=46&Topic=27632), and it ain't easy. They
cover so many topics more in one segment than they ever do
during the 7PM show.

Although, now that I think about it, there were a few
rapid-fire, multi-subject segments leading up to the week
they started doing two-a-days. I'm guessing now that they
were getting themselves ready for 11.

7PM, and for the opposite reason of what Mojo said.

Ron and Fez by themselves are still 100 times better than anything else on the radio, but the staff is what makes it so damn great.

The show just isn't the same when I can't hear the antics of Billy, Ray, Harry, and Mikey.

I like the 11am hour also. Mojo you hit it on the head. I like the short commercial breaks the guys are working really well together going through the hot topics of the day. If something works during the 11am hour they carry it over to the night show for a longer discussion.

My vote is for the boys to be IN NEW YORK WHERE THEY BELONG! Where the callers are on the ball, and the boys were truely loved...:mad:

I enjoy them both.

The 7 PM show is better for no other reason than that it's 3 hours longer!
