On wednesday a law was passed in New York making it illegal to buy cigarettes over the internet. What happened to free enterprise and capitalism amd a free market economy?

Do you have any idea what socialism is? If so, how is this socialist?

Socialism died? Do you you even know where you are? And again, do you have any clue what socialism is?

Hell, you can't sell kiddie porn online or ANYWHERE. Damn those anti-capitalists!

In free market system if the price is too high or there are excessive taxes as consumers we hve the choice of purchasing the goods elsewhere.

Cigarettes are legal so If a person doesnt want to pay heavy taxes he/she should be allowed to buy them online.

In our case, in another city or state. The internet is neither of those. It's a seperate economic entity.

Wrestling fan I read about this law also. It seems some idiotic state assemblyman handed a kid a credit card and told them to buy cigarettes on the net. He then cried about how easy it is to do. So they covered their assault on Interstate Commerce ( because these guys want your money to spend) by saying they are protecting kids. How ever I do not know many kids who have credit cards to complete an order. It is not socialism but rather a lie to force the citizens to pay outrageous taxes ona legal product

you have two choices: Castration or a one way ticket to New York
