The way the Yankees have been playing this season, I can't reasonably predict two sweeps.

I'm thinking 4 out of 6. This game tonight is basically over with the Giambi home run.

I'll be there tomorrow, stuffing my face in the mezzanine through the rain.

One more thing: was anyone watching the broadcast on Ch. 11 tonight? Ralph Kiner was talking about how Ted Williams could read the label on a 78 RPM record. Then he mentioned another player that could do that: Mickey Mouse.

Tom Seaver started laughing, but quickly turned off his microphone out of respect. I wish Seaver was still a Yankees announcer - I think he does a tremendous job.

I'm not that big on baseball, but as long as the Mets kick the yankees asses at least one game. I'll Be happy. Plus I'm looking foward to sitting at the stands of Yankee Stadium next saturday to watch them lose. The best part, i'm going with 3 yankee fans, i so want to rub it in their faces when the yanks lose

Well baseball has screwed the Yankees again. The umps call the game in nothing more than a steady rain, which hadnt gotten worse in the preceeding minutes. What a crock of shit, you can bet your ass if the Mets were winning it never wouldve happened till the game was official.

Are you serious? What the hell happend on Thursday? "Georgie Porgie" didnt want to have Weaver pitch against the Mets so he gets MLB to call the game 20 min after the starting time? It sure is funny to hear Yankee fans bitch about how MLB is screwing them when its so far from the truth.

what the hell are u talking about? the mets were the ones screwed. they just got a homer, and 2 men on base. they were in the middle of a rally. and dont say the MLB isnt hoping the yankees win. they threw out a man yesterday for not saying a word in the first inning. its bullshit.

Well, the Yanks & Mets will play 2 next Saturday: 1:00 in the Bronx & 8:00 @ Shea.

I'll be at both. As for today's rainout, they should have never started it in the first place. It was a lousy day.

As anticipated, I did stuff my face w/1 sausage & peppers, 2 hot dogs, and a waffle cone.

Oh, and by the way, Clemens is scheduled to pitch Saturday. My psychic abilities tell me he will be pitching the day game at Yankee Stadium, not the night game @ Shea. Just a hunch.

The only way Weaver shuts down the Mets for 7 is if he's pitching against a lil league team with the same name. That boy need to get back on the cronic.

Oh please, the weather was AWFUL. And no, it hadn't gotten worse in the preceeding minutes - but it had gotten steadily worse throughout the inning beforehand. And it sure as hell got exponentially worse in the following minutes, in far shorter time than it woul dhave taken to make the game official.

Ugh. If only it had been raining earlier in the day I could have spent the day at the museum. But chilling with cool folks & eating overpriced sausage & peppers wasn't all bad.

I remember the 1973 World Series and being so sad when we lost to the A's.

I was at my fraternity's chapter house at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA during Game 6 of the 1986 World Series.

Tonight was my lowest ever as a Met fan.

The Mets have the second highest payroll in the Major
Leagues. Don't be mad because the Yanks spend their
money wisely.

Yanks highest payroll = 1st place
Mets 2nd highest payroll = last place

Since when am I a Mets fan. For awhile the Sox had the second highest payroll and did them nothing. Without a bullpen neither us or the Yanks are going far.

Now I need to see the highlights of Game 2. I left when it was 9-3 after 7. On the subway, I heard rumors about 9-4, bases loaded, 0 out.

I don't usually leave a game early, but 2 games in 2 boroughs in one day - my ass was getting kind of numb. If I stayed, I'd probably be at the Port Authority right about now, waiting for a 12:50 bus.

Well, it looks like Mr. Wadd's prediction of a clean sweep will become a reality tomorrow night.
