I remember 3 years back, I was in NYC with my co-workers during the Christmas rush, Current Affair (I think) was there doing a report about the hottest toy for christmas and somehow I got to talk to them. Even though I talked for a while, when they played that program on T.V., all they had me saying was "Can I get that DAMN toy? can I say that on t.v.?" During the time I was being interviewed I kept looking at the reporter (she was kinda hot), and she kept telling me to look at the camera! (Can I help it if you look hot?) Now that I think about it, she was kind of rude but good to look at. What's your "5 minutes of fame?"

When I got to talk on the radio in the studio with our buddays....but I'm sure the list is really long on this site of people who have done that, but it's the closest I've ever come.
My sister and I were on Smackdown! for like 2 seconds during one of the Rock's promos.
I got interviewed on the street once in Little Itlay by the Metro channel (?) I think. I never knew if it got on though.

I have two. One was a security breach at LGA. We were tring tofigure out what happened, what was the breakdown in security. While we were evacuating the people, my boss comes over to me and starts asking me questions. he points alot. later that night, on the new, some guy from fox 5 recorded that, and it looked like I was getting my ass chewed out by my boss, when infact I was just giving him a briefing.
Oh, and I detained jimmy page on a visa violation. I had no intention of deporting him, but I never lived that one down. he mentioned the incident a few months later in an article.

I smashed a guitar over my head on the Rikki Lake show. I was on 3 times for feuding with my neighbor because my band was too loud (it was a fake feud though)
I brought my wheelchair ridden grandma on the Radio Chick Show and she cooked a hotdog on a strippers flaming crotch. Gramma had fun....really

I believe the expression is "15 minutes of fame"
ANA - Was that when he got the tickling chair? Was it on E?
Other board members who have been on Stern described the experience as lots of fun, but I suspect the experience would be different for men and women.

Actually I was the first to ever come on the show with my boyfriend and get them into the tickling thing. My boyfriend kissed Robin's feet at the end. Yes its was on E! and ran into reruns for a long time. Howard read my letter on air that morning, then Belinda Carlisle came on and since the tickling buzz was in the air, he tried to tickle her. We came on the following Tuesday. After that, then all who were into tickling came on and tried it and then they got a tickling chair from a friend I know (damn forgot his name). I guess you can say I paved the way.

About 3 years ago when I was working at a Midtown hotel. There was a storyabout the city of New York putting up homeless people in luxery hotels. When the story broke, my manager was quoted in the New York Daily News. Since I was the front office manager I was given the task of dealing with any press givig the official, "We have no comments". I was taped by CBS speaking to Lou Young, but I don't think it made the air.
The other time, I was about 13 when the Islanders won their last Staley Cup championship. My sister, our dad and I where shown in a crowd shot of the victory parade.

I've got a couple;
In the late 80s, I was a contestant on MTV's Remote Control.
Despite a generally worthless storehouse of trivial pop
culture knowledge stored in my brain, I came in second and
ended up only with hair care products, a universal remote
and butt-ugly LA Gear hightops.
In 1994, when I was living in Maryland, I auditioned for and
got a part in series of commercials for the Baltimore Orioles.
The commercials were supposed to run all season, but of
course it was 1994, which was a strike-shortened season. A
bunch of the commercials never aired.

Well, as far as reaching the most people, being a caller on the Ron and Fez show is my 5 minutes. Toward the end they started to remembermy name, and it was a lot of fun to call.
But in high school I was on the Quiz Bowl team, and they taped the show at William Paterson College(now a university.)
They played the shitty game show on Public Access, and more than a few people have said they saw me on the TV. Great.

it was harry potter mania for the first movie, and i was interviewed by umm, i really dont remember what network, fox i think, but they aired it on the news. i had to answer questions about what we were doing to promote the movie and accomodate all of the customers.

My Public Access show in High School, Madhouse!
We got to hang out with German thrash Legends KREATOR on their tour bus.
Mille: Would you like some smoke?
Matt (Me): {Looks at co-host Tony to seek approval}
Tony: {Looks at Matt to seek approval}
Matt: No
Tony: No
Mille: How come?
Matt: We don't do drugs
Afterwards Tony and I were like. "Damn! We could have gotten STONED with Kreator!"
Shit.
Earlier Tony and I terrorized a vacant thrown away toilet in the garbage pit behind Allentown's Airport Music Hall.
Fun times.
I really need to find this video.
Then a bunch of Nazi Skins formed a wall and hurt us.

I've played violin on TV on numerous occasions.
I played a concert in Carnegie Hall.
I was photographed for an article in Smithsonian magazine.
I was interviewed (about rock climbing) by Womens' Health
magazine.
I did color commentary for hockey games on WBRU in
Providence.
Most currently, I don't know if this counts, I provided most of
the information about pier piling communities in the Hudson
river estuary for the new exhibit that just opened in the hall of
ocean life at the natural history museum. I haven't yet gone by
to see if they gave me any credit for it, though.

I was one of the subjects of a Belgium Documentary when I went to Mexico that I've never seen because I can't find anyone who can transfer the formats.
I was an extra in the AC/DC scene of private parts.
I asked a psychic romance advice on Good Day New York a few weeks ago.
And, oh yeah, I'm a porn star.

I was interviewed by three news stations because I witnessed a drive by shooting.
I was on a Metro Channel segment about having to smoke outside my office building.
And coming to a theater this winter, the new Julia Roberts movie Mona Lisa Smile. I'm one of her student's date to the prom.
back about 5 years ago I went to Randles Island for the Guiness Flagh. Saw this VH1 thing going on and some guy playing the guitar. No idea who this was but a few minutes later, he goes back to taping this show. Then he asks for 2 people out of the audience, I jumped up and down and pretty much begged. BOOM I get picked. The Object of the game was to pick these numbers out of a bag, and on this screen in front of me there were 9 boxes, behind was a pic of someone famous. It took me a whole 2 turns to guess that it was Whitney Houstin. I won a sony minidisk player. Turns out that guy who was playing the guitar, was the one and only Stephen Lynch. Now I NEVER got to actually see myself on TV but it seemed like everyone else did. I had several people come up to me on the beach at several different times durring the week and ask me or tell me that they saw me on TV.

A lot of mine are wrestling related, but there's a few other moments:
When I was 7, I appeared on WKBO-AM's ''KBO Kids'' program, and a sound bite from that show (my weird giggle) is still used to this day.
When I was 11, a story I wrote about Roddy Piper was printed in the local paper.
I appeared in crowd shots fairly regularly from 1998 to 2000 on ECW's TV shows.
Last year, I was on-camera through an entire Raw; my crowning moment was getting Triple H to flip me off when he saw my HHHater sign.
And a deep dark secret: I acted in a training video for Festival Foods supermarkets. I hope to gawd the tape still isn't being used today.

My friends and I were once interviewed before an Aerosmith concert at Madison Square Garden in 1994 for some really short lived late night music show. All that made the air was one of my friends doing his Steven Tyler impression while the rest of us looked stupid in the background.
But my defining moment occured during a Monday Night Raw in 1997 at the Manhattan Center. It was the infamous ECW invasion show. I was seated right behind Ken Shamrock and his wife who were sitting at ringside. This was before Shamrock debuted for the WWF. While he was being interviewed on live TV, I snuck up right behind him and held up 4 fingers as an homage to Ric Flair. Then I made Gene Simmons of KISS faces with my tongue. To top it off, I then insulted one of my friends at the time on live TV by making fun of one of his mannerisms. I must've got a dozen calls the next day at my job from people who saw me on TV.
And I also had a lot of letters printed in the "Apter Wrestling Mags" in the early 90's.

In '91 I was on the Al Roker Christmas Special. We rode around in a van (or bus, my memory is fuzzy) and commented on all the decorations. Then of course we had to sing carols while we rode. The cameraman moved away from me and my friends when we started dancing in our seats. Roker is too jolly for my taste.
I am, and always will be,in a state of sulky dissatisfaction.
