Will Tequila take away the pain?

I've been sick now for almost a week, and each day it's getting worse and worse.

I went to the doctor today and he gave me anti-biatics, but it's not cutting the mustard right now.

I'm in so much pain and cant sleep and the only thing I have left to try is a nice half a bottle of Jose Cuervo.

So the question is, will 4 - 5 shots of this golden goodness release me from the pain of this unforgiving sickness and let me sleep?

PLEASE HELP!

i dunno, wouldn't the tequila make you puke because you say 5 shots, but that really means 15 or so. the pain will go away, but you'll be hugging the porcalian queen

I'm not saying don't drink but alcohol will decrease the effects of most antibiotics on the market today. I recommend that you just take the medication as prescribed, drink alot of water and get some sleep. See how you feel in the morning. Hope you fell better.

If you have a cold, hell yeah. Couple of shots ALWAYS fixed me up nice. Tequlia, whiskey, vodka, I wouldn't smoke any weed though,,,

The 5 shots of booze will probably excacerbate your headache.

Besides, you shouldn't mix medicine and alcohol.

If you have an antihistimine in the house, call your doc and see if it's ok to mix the two (or check drug interactions on drkoop.com)

I know it might not help right now because it's a prescription but for future use anyway (and what about NyQuil or Tylenol PM)? It sounds like you just want something to knock you out and get some rest.

But I've gotten this cough syrup before that's super strong but I can take it even if it's not sore throat symptoms cuz it numbs your body then knocks you out. It's Promethazine with Codiene cough syrup and I've never used anything like it.

I agree with Aggie. Not only does she have a terriffic tookie, but she's smart, too.
Tylenol pm has helped me out many a night.

Bobby: first I hope you rest up and get better. I just got finished with a cold that lingered for like 3 weeks. I finally went on the Z-Pack of antibiotics (reluctantly) and some Hycodan cough syrup.

Tequila, as mentioned, is probably not a good idea. If you really want to kill the pain (and yourself) some species of agave bloom like every 20-30 years or so and are poisonous I think. Same with some Bamboo's. Not the rolling paper, the grass. And not that kind of grass either.

Now as far as not mixing medicine with alcohol, that seems prudent. But kinda makes you wonder when stuff like Nyquil is 50 proof.....yup 25% alcohol.

Rest up. Go to your health care professional. Have some chicken soup. You're my softball manager for darn sakes and we need you!
