At first I thought this topic was Happy Belated Birthday Anal. I was either thinking that RFM has a really cool gf, or he's made a lifestyle choice he hadn't told us about.

But then when I saw it was a lat birthday wish for Anna, and I figured I'd just say happy birthday instead.

FAMOUS EVENTS
Friendship treaty signed by William Penn and Lenni Lenape Indians (1683).
Saxophone patented by Antoine Sax (1846).
Taft-Hartley Act passed (1947).
99.95 percent of Egyptian voters mark their ballots to elect Gamal Abdel Nasser as the first president of the Republic of Egypt. Nasser, who toppled the Egyptian monarchy in 1952 in a military coup, was the only presidential candidate on the ballot. In the same ballot, Nasser's new constitution, under which Egypt became a one-party socialist state with Islam as the official religion, was approved by 99.8 percent of voters (1956).
Mafia boss John Gotti, who was nicknamed the "Teflon Don" after escaping unscathed from several trials during the 1980s, is sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty on 14 accounts of conspiracy to commit murder and racketeering. Moments after his sentence was read in a federal courthouse in Brooklyn, hundreds of Gotti's supporters stormed the building and overturned and smashed cars before being forced back by police reinforcements (1992).
An auction of John Lennon's possessions raises $430,000. A guitar he played during his years with the Beatles sold for $19,000. Lennon was shot and killed by a deranged fan in 1980 (1984).
14-year-old Carrie Fisher makes her performing debut, appearing in her mother's nightclub act in Sparks, Nevada. Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, was a popular actress with MGM in the 1950s, but her film career faded as she aged, and she shifted her focus to live performance. Fisher went on to co-star in the blockbuster Star Wars movie and its sequels. She wrote a best-selling novel, Postcards from the Edge, based on her struggle with drugs, and another, Surrender the Pink, about her ill-fated marriage to singer Paul Simon (1971).
credit-card giants Visa International and MasterCard International announced they would work together to create a secure system for credit-card payment on the Internet. The companies had pursued separate systems with different software firms previously: Visa had teamed up with Microsoft, and MasterCard with Netscape. By working together, the credit-card companies agreed to avoid a bitter and damaging struggle to define a standard for online credit-card payments. Industry experts said the alliance would speed the acceptance of online shopping among both consumers and vendors (1995).
