but to be honest, most government employee's don't deserve overtime. it's like a scam. they do jackshit during their normal tour, then cry for overtime so they can complete their tasks. it's sickening.

I don't think it's true of the medical fields, but i knowit's truw for many clerical positions.

we all got 10% paycuts several months ago, and then, when i got a promotion, the powers that be never came through with my raise. So my boss gives me 15-20 hours in overtime every pay period. She rocks.

There's a reason my parents BOTH have to reguarly work 10-12 hour days for the Agency each week.

If any company worked with the idea that you essentially need 18 people to mail a single package from each office they'd be buried in under a week.

just another way to fuck over the "working man", suck the money away from the people at the middle and lower levels because you know that's who is most affected...

i had my OT cut off because i'm in the Network and we are not a "Business Unit", so we are looked at as an expense and not someone who contributes to profits. So we're the first to get affected by cuts. ... that 15k less a year is "sorely missed"...
